Dollar cost average bitcoin and ethereum.

Column b:
Do a lot of reading. Also recognise that most day traders lose money, and these aren't the easiest conditions to start off. Try your hand at paper trading, or use small amounts of money per trade until you consistently win more than you lose.

For someone looking at starting out in the crypto world, where am I best spent investing time to learn?

I always think that the Coin Bureau YouTube channel is one of the best places to start, along with the other suggestions people have provided. I suggest devoting some time each day to increasing your knowledge to learn the basic concepts and the mechanics of how to use an exchange, defi, staking, wallets (including hard wallet options), how to read charts, NFTs etc. Start small and take time to learn the risks. Don't forget to factor in the Fourex risk (USD) for long term investing.

I suggest choosing an exchange (I use Binance and Kraken and also have a Swyftx account, each have their pluses and minuses), depositing some money by PayID (cheaper than credit card) and buy a small amount of what you want (ETH, BTC etc). If you want to learn how to stake, buy some DOT (or LUNA, SOL etc - do your own research). Swyftx has a demo mode.

Finally, be very, very careful of scammers - if it's too good to be true then it 99.99% isn't true. Take your online security seriously and keep good records for tax.
