95% of the thousands of coins out there have no practical utility and utilised an ICO to raise thousands or millions of dollars with very little accountability. Might be quicker to list coins that aren't a scam and have a realised utility.

Made a stack of insinuations that simply weren't true to boost the price and cash in on the rumour.

Checked Poloniex and Binance and it's not listed. By the time I got to Yobit it was already up 70% and I would've need to take the time to trade some XBY to BTC to get in so I didn't bother.

Yeah there was a post on Reddit about it being a huge scam with proof the developer has cut communication with everyone. I sold most of mine at .30 but was planning to buy back anyway. Not sure if I should now.

I've been similar. In the last few days have been re-distributing to a narrower & deeper overall position. During which, missed some big gains on RISE, REQ, ARK and to a lesser extent, PIVX.

I think just gonna have to suck it up when this happens though and wait for my turn, on coins that I now have much more riding on.

The two McAfee mentioned coins that I love are digibyte and verge.

I see these coins rising alongside ripple big time in 2018.

Had my eye on digibyte the last 4-6 weeks but it was on here and McAfee twitter that got me interested in verge, in fact I think it was bigfooty that made me aware of it initially!

Original tweet was from someone with millions of followers and a blue tick. He’s since deleted that post and claimed he got hacked.

An ex marketing exec from Verge who had been fired also posted stuff that has been refuted by the Lead developer.

Hard to tell if old mate who started the insanity is lying or not, but if not he’s cost a lot of weak hands a lot of money! It’s already back to to 26 cents on coinspot, and with all the wraith files being uploaded to github that’s def still coming. Still expecting big things.

It's been said that the wraith protocol is just a simple feature that is nothing amazing but is being hyped up to be keep people investing and drive the price up. It's hard to get to the bottom of all this.

I get the same feeling as Tigertigertiger on that one.

It’s hard because I need to frequent reddit to keep up with news, but it’s all so fanboi-esque that it’s just annoying. Like I said earlier about XRP, it’s a “bankers coin” and therefor shit and will never reach .50 let alone 1.00 - and now it’s sitting at 1.00. You pretty much only need to trust your gut, that’s all you can do. My gut says trust Verge, so I’m running with that

I got into Verge in August/September... very little hype/word being spoken about it back then(in comparison to today)...pure research and tech heads talking about it. I got in because I could see the value and direction of it...I wasn’t drawn to it due to hype.
The first couple of months I questioned myself on what I had invested in as I wasn’t getting much ‘news’ based on the coin, but like all my coins I have held on as I could see something in it to make me invest in the first place...then the hype and speculation followed. Of course I was happy to see more people talking about it but it came clear to me quickly that the hype was ‘muddying the waters’ as speculation is more often than not driven by emotions and usually aired by people who ‘don’t understand’.

There was some bargains over the last few days but not as many as I thought, people were really quick on the dips, especially on funfair and library credits. The market seems to be frothing, ready to go off in 2018, heres f#cken hoping lol!
