I've already got some, but what are your reasons for thinking its a good option?

Good brand sentiment with speculators will grow its price in the short term, if looking to make a quick buck

Has anyone used the Exodus desktop wallet to exchange between coins? Are there fees?
Yeah mate a great wallet to use. I haven't used it in recent times as most of what I had on there I have moved over to my Nano. There are fees (although I cant recall what they are) for exchanging, I think they're determined by what coin you're exchanging. I can't ever recall thinking the fee's were bad.
Simple to use...plenty of support and videos to guide you through.
One issue I have with it which isn't a major gripe...I find the pricing (of coins) is always a little inflated in comparison to the market value. Although that's no big concern.

Once I get paid next, am wondering what to do with my portfolio. I've got small amounts in a number of coins that have all gone up, not sure if I should double down and add more to those coins or whether to widen the net further with some other coins that I like.

I've only got XRP, i invested $200 towards the end of last year and have already seen excellent growth - I'm happy to just set & forget and hopefully check back someday and see that my $200 has turned into $20,000... :D currently just sitting on the exchange (btc markets)... I've heard alot about not storing currency on the exchange and the alternative of 'wallets' or 'paper wallets' which I can't get my head around..

Any recommendations? preferably something free?

Cheers :thumbsu:

Anyone figured out how I can get online through somewhere, still waiting to be verified by CoinSpot and Bittrex isn’t taking new members at the moment :(

Also, how do the newbies deposit once online?

I signed up to BTCMarkets and they allow BPAY deposit (They say $500 minimum, however I transferred $200 and it went through no issue - from memory it took 2/3 business days to clear..

They have 4700 pending Bpay's with a min of $500 but as you said you did it below min. They've got a lot of business coming. Banks suspending Poli's doesn't seem to be stopping them.

Yeah BPAYs generally can only be rejected at your online banking interface because of the way the product works. Once the biller receives and reconcile the payment with your customer reference number, there’s no point them sending it back to you because that would be extra admin work for them. It’s easier for them to just allocate the funds to your wallet.

I should add that with the new payments platform launch in feb/March, making payments as a consumer will be even easier and near real-time (less than a minute to fully send/receive).

I think someone already said it in this thread but in case anyone didn’t see it, I thought I’d mention it.

Who is launching this new payments platform? The banks?

Yeah in conjunction with the government, but it will be pretty easy for a coinspot type business to set up a business transaction account and attach an alias like their ABN (rather than a bpay biller code or account number) for you to send money to.

Don't buy Tron just at the minute. Go and see whats been in red for a while and grab one of them.

What do you think it will dip too..
After a spike you can usually expect the dip to come back 5-10% of the gains on the day, and the next 48 hours sometimes lowers slightly more. Po.et the last 3 days is a good example.

Don't rush anything theres heaps of options and time to research before you start spreading your investment around.
