Exchanges must be making a killing.

Some of these withdrawal fees are just outright ridiculous. Getting slapped with a fee amounting to 6.5% of my withdrawal from Binance to a wallet. It's a fixed withdrawal fee, right?

I think it's cheaper if you own 1 Binance coin (and hold in your account). But yeah, their withdrawal fees are heavy. Hence the rise in low or zero fee exchanges, IE COB!!!!

Here's IOTA's response to the MIT article that was put out a while ago

https://blog.iota.org/official-iota...iative-at-the-mit-media-lab-part-1-72434583a2

For those who are interested in IOTA or holding IOTA (and particularly if you're losing faith), read this.

I've been very discouraged by IOTA lately, with it being stagnant and the lack of news, but this response has really shown me that the IOTA Foundation know what they're doing, or at least are moving forwards and towards good things. Even though it was always going to be a long-term hold for me, I started to lose a bit of faith and the temptation to sell and buy some of the other coins that were rising in the meantime was strong.

This is a great PR piece by any standards, let alone within the crypto industry/community.

I've heard people talk about how the team is inexperienced etc but nothing in this response seems to suggest that IOTA Foundation as an entity don't know what they're doing. It's far from a sure thing there's definitely safer options to go with but I can definitely get behind a project like IOTA, if not for the money then at least to see what they can offer for the future.

In fact, it's only do-able through coinspot. AIR only have three coins, and all of them are above the US rate. So, you can't cycle them back again, if that makes sense.

The only thing you can do is convert your ETH or BTC or BCH to cash through AIR getting a higher price, then deposit that cash back into a different broker and buy again. All that takes a couple of days though.

If all of coinspots are too high also then it's the same problem there.

Can Aussies do bank transfers or poli payments into binance?
Nope, you can't do that on Binance. I believe you can on Coinbase but there's limits on how much you can deposit.

It seems converting back to AUD in whichever way available comes at a premium unfortunately. The fees and spreads on CoinSpot are pretty crap tbh, but the simplicity and fact you can trade crypto-crypto for 1% fee makes up for that somewhat.

To an earlier comment, arbitrage is definitely possible. I've read about quite a few people doing it but obviously better to do it with crypto that can be transferred as quick as possible and also have a liquid market to sell into.

The ones I like most of all, both thanks to my dog at keyboard trading method and also my own reading of what they're about, are (in no order) -

1. ETH
2. BAT
3. OMG
4. Litecoin (maryjames tipping it mainly)
6. Ripple
7. Funfair

But I also have little speculative plays in Golem and Funfair ATM.

I have dropped district0x. Made money out of it, got off it. It became a HOLD on the dog at keyboard method so I kicked it out of bed and brought in a new mistress to play with.

On the arbing... if you think you can pick when ETH is going to go up or down (ie if you see the market tanking etc) then having an account with someone like AIR is very good - can trade in and out of ETH for AUD, at a really low fee rate, I think 0.5%, so $5 per $1000 traded.

In fact let's give it a go... I've got a bit of ETH with AIR, it's at its peak for the day right now, $1787 AUD, I am going to sell out and try to buy back in at $1687 AUD.

Will report back later...

What's COB?

It's a zero fee decentralised crypto exchange. One of the first in the space, I'd been watching it then a guy on the discord channel tipped me over the edge. I bought in at 0.28 aud, thereabouts.

I think 0x is a long term hold.

OK so coinbase, how do you get money in there? Max $250 off credit card, are there other ways?
Gosh its been that long since I signed up...pretty sure it was either I linked it to my bank account or debit card.
Yeah when I first signed up i could only spend $250 per week...after a few weeks it went up to $500....and now my max is $2,000.
I was actually quite happy with that because when i started i wanted to tread lightly and having those limits was a good thing...made me think a bit harder about what I was doing with the money...rather than going all in!

I'd strongly recommend staying well clear of ANY p&d groups, myself.

Haha I’m not getting involved. I just find it funny that pump and dump groups and coming up with promoted content.

I think what you have listed there are all worthy of investing in.
I don't have them all, what I dont have I would happily dive into.
