I've reshuffled my portfolio to capture a better R/R given it's the start of a new year (TBH I should have done this earlier - I was a SOL maxi for 3 months longer than necessary, so refusing to sell any made me miss out on LUNA's Q4 run).

Advice: Don't be a maxi, on any coin. You'll just piss people off with the bubble you're living in and most likely cause yourself to miss out on bigger gains elsewhere in the market.

Core holdings:
  • ATOM: Biggest holding by far now - Lots of milestones for them to hit in Q1. Interchain staking could seriously be a game changer for cypto, and other developments will really improve the user experience within the ecosystem. It seems crystal clear now that the future will be multi-chain (it wasn't clear a year ago), so the need to connect all of these chains together will be extremely important and add mass adoption to the Cosmos ecosystem.
  • JEWEL (aka. Defi Kingdoms): Play-to-earn metaverse games will be huge IMO. DFK is a decentralized exchange, NFT marketplace, and immersive play-to-earn gaming ecosystem, and positioned well to be the first *fun* play-to-earn game to capture mindshare across multiple chains. Think this will flip Axie in market cap later this year.
  • SOL/LUNA/AVAX (in equal portions): Strongly believe that SoLunAvax (combined) will flip Eth at some point this year, and stay there. I'm biased to SOL because it was the coin that made me a multi-millionaire, but I do love how with LUNA you're essentially betting directly on stablecoins and the growth of L1 smart contract ecosystems at the same time. Luna is also built with Tendermint and the Cosmos SDK. The SOL chart probably looks the worst of the three at the moment, but never underestimate Samuel Bankman. Pretty sure this is re-accumulation and not distribution for SOL.
  • Others: Several other very small holdings.
    • Merit Circle is one: For BACCS - Project looks decent and has some good backing. Have bought a small position.
I'll consider selling if any of these coins meet my price targets. If the market turns bearish then I may short BTC as a hedge, and close the position when the market turns bullish again.

LFG!! :rocket:

You're the 2nd person in the last few days I've heard say good things about Jewel, I even had a poke around the demo and its seems pretty cool. From my understanding you can build a workforce ingame for yourself, then there's the whole NFT thing they've got going on ingame too. It's been on a good steady uptrend for months now. 18% up today alone. Do you think it could help Harmony fly a bit as well?

Definitely. Yeah it will help Harmony fly for sure as you need to go through Harmony to buy at the moment. The rapid rise does scare me a bit - it's already at a $1B MC. Then again AXIE was at a $10b+ MC at its peak.

Harmony has been performing well since Mid- Dec, I hadn't thought it could be a reflection of Jewel.

AXS flew far and fast too I remember, it was under $2 in March. For me it's a bit too late to get into(Jewel, unless Im going to play the game, but a baby is coming in the next few weeks so wont have that time)... I really want to find what SOL was for you and sit and hatch that egg.

Haha me too! I'd love to find another SOL
That's awesome mate (about the baby), congrats.

In the Telegram chat, one of the MC founders confirmed that 1.229% of the total supply will be burned this month and that the DAO bought 230k MC at a $5 average last week with profits from investments (this is the part of the proposal aiming to create support levels for price). Basically, the first burn is greater than all MC issued for the Binance launchpool, so that selling pressure at the end of January is now gone.

It does sound promising, but I'm always cautious with projects that rise in MC very quickly. Will wait for a pullback before investing any of my Tether sitting on the sidelines.

Atom and near are two of my biggest bags at the moment. I've reduced exposure to SOL as it seems weak.

ATOM was built ahead of it's time in my opinion. The tech is great and I can see it getting lots of adoption this year and then number go up.

What was your entry price on NEAR? It's one I was looking at closely, but regrettably haven't pulled the trigger (yet)

Whilst he's got some fair points, I wonder how different his outlook would be if he didn't sell his share of Doge for a used Honda back in the day.

I believe Jackson only came up with the name, and made a website.

Billy created the coin, sold his share to buy honda etc. He is still active in crypto, currently makes and sells NFTs. Actually has a half decent stash of doge now as the community keeps donating/tipping him. https://twitter.com/BillyM2k

Thanks LB. :thumbsu:

A follow up question on JEWEL, are you LP farming on there or just holding JEWEL? There's some pretty juicy APRs available. I'm watching closely for a pullback to $15-16 and may jump in. Ive got a couple thousand Ones sitting around doing nothing.

Nah I'm just staking it in the bank (which earns a lower yield, but no risk of impermanent loss). Agreed the LP farm APRs are juicy, however the rewards are locked and only released linearly from July this year.

I decided to stake it just because I want the flexibility to be able to sell when I want to (if required). If you stake it, there are no fees to withdraw. If you LP farm it, they penalise you with a small fee if you withdraw your liquidity from the pool too early. Admittedly they are fairly low provided you wait at least a week - https://docs.defikingdoms.com/how-defi-kingdoms-works/the-gardens

Thanks for the link, I hadn't gone that far yet. The price of Jewel booming did worry me about IP so was thinking of waiting for a pullback, although One is tracking pretty similar right now. I don't like the idea of being locked up for 6-7 months. But the early unlock fees aren't too bad considering you're earning 10% per week on current APR (JEWEL/ONE LP).

Something to think about while I wait for a retrace, if it comes. What do you get in the bank? Im asking lazy questions as I don't have any one tokens in wallet to open up the numbers in the game/dex.

In the bank you can just stake single Jewel tokens. You can withdraw at any time for no fee. There's no risk of IP of course, but the yield is much lower.

I really wonder what could happen if it hits even a minor exchange.

It's interesting to those who share a different view. Will withhold my thoughts on it given I'm not currently invested in crypto.
Your opinion is valid IMO whether you're currently invested or not.

I wasn't early with NEAR. Bought in between $12 and $13, and will probably buy more if we get a good dip.
