It's strange to see anyone show this level of emotion towards an asset class without cause.

I have some buy orders on Binance, but I'm pretty sure that Binance have been up to some dodgy stuff as well. Having said that, I don't think they are going insolvent any time soon.

I would be withdrawing all funds funds from Kucoin and Cypto.com ASAP.

For the safest of all exchanges, I'd suggest the following criteria:
1) Australian
2) Owners and management are doxxed
3) Been solvent for a long time, and more importantly, been around through the last crypto bull/bear market (i.e. existed prior to 2017)
4) No leverage trading on the exchange

There are 3 exchanges I can think of that meet the above criteria.

Inevitable is a strong word. On balance of probabilities, yes, 8k BTC is highly likely to be a good buying point.

Look back to March 2020 in this thread to see the "non-crypto bros," much like your good self, laughing it up at the covid dump when we hit 4k BTC. We were at 69k just over 18 months later.

I assume you've been able to pay off at least a nice house and car with your crypto earnings then?

That’s not really a determining factor in an asset’s price to be fair. Gold has far fewer practical uses than most other industrial metals these days. And when we invest in it we don’t even tend to physically own any of it, we just own paper stocks in it. Yet it’s seen as one of the safest investments going.

I’m far from a crypto fanboy - I find it an interesting space to follow but that doesn’t mean I have an opinion either way as to it’s long-term viability - but simply stating that something will prove to be worthless because it has no practical utility is incorrect.

Beside it having practical uses Gold is desired for aesthetic purposes like diamonds. You dont hang crypto around your neck or on your finger. No one buys it to look at it. It has zero utility. Gold has heaps.
