I was just talking to my uncle and he wrote me an email saying that he went to the club clinic.

This is the email.

Hey Mitch

Sam and I made the attended the Cub's Club Clinic for the second year (although it was a 'picnic' not a 'clinic' last year) and once again had a great time! Full marks to Richmond and the players for making a little kid and a big kid's day!

All the senior list and rookie players were in attendance (although I didn't see Wayne Campbell, Joel Bowden, or Andrew Krakouer). I was pleased to see Aaron Fiora running around and without any strapping or other device on his knee - looks like he'll be OK for the St Kilda match. On the other hand, Jay Schulz was hobbling around with his bruised buttock causing him some discomfort. Although I suppose the fact that he was out there could indicate that the injury isn't too serious.

Justin Blumfield made the comment of the day when retrieving yet another ball miskicked by the participants... he said, "gees, I've had more touches today that I did with Coburg". Looks like he may be back there next week instead of in the ones!

We had a bit of a laugh when our rotation was the kicking class - only to be met by Darren Gaspar! If only Gas could have been joined by the Kellaway brothers, the kicking class would have been truely educational!

The goal kicking rotation brought 2 great tiger names together in the goalsquare at Punt Road - Richardson and Roach. Yep, Richo and Roachy were showing the kids how to kick a goal from 40 meters out using firstly their right, then their left foot! Neither Roach or Richo missed - why does Richo miss these in a match when he had no trouble today - pressure perhaps or was it the fact that he had a 6 year old on the mark (i.e. considerably shorter opposition than he's used to)?

Sam finally got to meet his favourite player - Brad Ottens. Otto missed last year's event due to his back operation. He seemed to try and please every child that requested an autograph or photo and was the last player off the ground due to his popularity. He certainly made one child's day that's for sure!

Did anyone else attend?

I actually took WP Junior to his first Cub's Picnic.

Junior had a ball and got to meet his favourite player, got his autograph and had his photo taken with said player.

However, WP Senior was most disappointed in the fact that when I went to get a free coffee they were out of sugar and milk - I am still suffering the after effects :D :D

They only thing I will say is that I reckon the last player of the field was Richo - he had a long walk from the goals back to the rooms and I was one of the last to get his autograph for Junior who by this time had disappeared because he wanted his free pie and showbag.

Great job by all at the RFC

Plaigiarism at its finest!

I posted this article on my Richmond Fan Site (Richmond Footy Club Fans - www.yellowandblack.info) and Wrennyboy is definately NOT my Nephew.

If you'd like to view the original post, you can view it at http://www.yellowandblack.info/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=930

I understand this this isn't the only post that 'Wrennyboy' has lifted from my site - there is at least one other recent post that he's claimed as his own.

Time to 'fess up Mitch - if you want to repost stuff from another source you must credit that source, not claim it as your own!

Wrennyboy, can you please take this as a warning to always credit your sources if you copy information. This means acknowledging your source and also preferably providing a link.

Otherwise, it is plagiarism and the legal department at Big Footy doesn't have the resources to defend against it.

I agree......only if you yourself have written the article.
If this is the case you should be credited for the story
Same thing for any stories any other un-contracted writers do.

What do u think is a fair trade petersweb?

We should only omit the names of the hacks that write with the majors.

Not sure what you mean about a 'fair trade'. What I think is fair is that if you post an article that isn't yours (whether it be an individual's original post on another site or an article posted by a journalist on a media site) it should always credit the author and (preferably) the source.

That is all.

Keep posting them wrenny.
The important thing is to just quote where it came from and who wrote it.
All you did with this one was take the work of "Duncan" from another site and change the first sentence to it being you at the game.
You were always going to get busted because people on that Richmond site also post here. The dead give away it wasn't yours is there wasn't one single "aye" in the whole post. :D
