I've penned a private letter to the club with names and all, sent it via email and it us up to them if they do anything about it, i've been made aware that they are already aware anyway and i take that on face value as being true. They can take my complaint on board or not.

I'm not going to name names on here, especially when the majority of the group was well behaved and its only a handful that went overboard (out of a large group that was enjoying themselves responsibly i might add), led by Fev who was very unprofessional with the time he was out til and the example he was setting, which others who were out later than i was and at other venues have backed me up on!

The idiot that said Judd was involved in being a dill, is a dill himself, the most professional of the lot is Judd.

People are serving nothing by throwing names out there when my OP was to highlight the unprofessionalism off field of a few senior players.

Good on you for contacting the club, well done.

Let us know if you get a response, I for 1 am interested in if or what response they might give !!

That was me... Accidently put Judds name instead of Fevs.. Ooops :o Been edited now...
Blueblooded... 7 of the 8 have been named and only 3 of those played up.. Hoops, Fev and Scotto (although Scotto wasnt drinking much but was out til atleast 7am as the photo ive seen shows him with fev...)..
So that leaves Judd, JR, Jamo, and Walker who were well behaved and left early.. So who was the other one who was well behaved...

Also if Hoops was as drunk as what was said, I wonder how he got to training.. I'd think He'd still be over the limit at 10am..

Lets just get over this thread, which i doubt is true anyway and concentrate on the Magpies game this weekend which is so crucial to our season.

Mate, have your read the thread? A number of posters have said they've been out doing the wrong thing in the early hours of the morning. To pretend it isnt an issue just shows your ignorance.

Agree, times have changed and the boys from the old school need to realise this. Gone are the days where you can have a massive night out after a game...

Either choose to play in a lesser league and enjoy massive nights out with your mates or play at the highest standard enjoy a few quiet beers and go over to a mates if you want a few more out of the public eye...

Of course this is a very small thing to give up when you have the opportunity to set yourself up for life by playing the game you love....There is plenty of time for drinking in retirement.

Spot on ECHUCABOY! Giving up the piss for a few months a year to have a high paying job doing something most of us pay to do for leisure is worth it IMO. I recon early morning training on saturday morning (if played friday), Sunday morning (if played saturday) etc. A bretho, and harsh up front punishment for offenders. Best they do a full on fitness session the morning after so the get to feel what it's like to do that hung over or still half cut.

We need disciplin to be a good team.

we made that mistake rnd 1 last year. When will enough be enough for you?

Apparently In today's HUN (which I didnt read) in the sport confidential section it reported a certain player drowining his sorrows on the Gold Coast after the Blues loss to Freo.
"he was overheard complaining to teammates that he got back to his room at 4.50AM after someone he called"the skipper" had lined up too many pots for him.The player who had a shocker on the field said he was not feeling too well off it as well..

The plot thickens.. Thats 2 weeks straight now...
The supposed rumour I heard yesterday was that Fev, Cloke, Stevens and Scotland were up having drinks in a Hotel room with none other than Sticks after Ratts had imposed a ban on anyone leaving the Hotel Premises..

Make of it what you will.. I am merely repeating what Ive heard..

I can confirm that the night of Carlton’s loss to Hawthorn (early Sunday morning), I was out the front of CQ with a mate at about 3-3:30am when Fev and Bryce Gibbs rocked up. Fev looked pretty intoxicated, but Gibbs did not appear to be that drunk, he was just walking sheepishly behind Fev, obviously put off by the fact that about 20 people out the front of the club were yelling “fev!!!, gibbsy!!!”.

When inside the club, I did not see Gibbs again, so im not sure if he left. Fev was still there and I think I also saw Kade Simpson. My mate, who is a mad carlton supporter went up to fev and said something along the lines of “good game today, bad luck. Cant wait till you smash Freo next week”, Fev replied “yeah, were going to f#cken smash them next week, I cant wait to go out on the Gold Coast”. Take from that what you want…

Now, I don’t care if there are Carlton supporters who don’t believe me, that is fine, keep your head in the sand. But if was me, and one of Geelongs senior players, who is a pivotal part of our forward structure, a leader at the club, carrying an injury at the time, was out till 8am (according to other people), as a supporter I wouldn’t be happy.

I believe you.

Jamie i have also heard the rumor about the hotel room, as they say where there is smoke...

No question Fev would say this to a complete stranger in a club near breakfast time in Melbourne. I was there as well and the bloke with the big chin and cropped hair told me - and I quote "that idiot over there thinks I'm Brendan Fevola".

im not sure whether you are taking the piss or not... Dont know what time you have breakfast mate, but i sure dont have it at about 4am... but yeah, your right. It might not have been Fev. I mean, he’s a bit of a recluse and I never see him on TV or in media at all. So I could have had a hard time identifying him. And about 50 other punters at the bar, who were looking at him and yelling stuff at him could have also been mistaken… And then when my mate went and spoke to him, he could have just been pulling my mates leg for a laugh…

Thy is a very serious individual and when never do such a thing!

I think going out till all hours and hitting the piss is actually a clever ploy employed by the Blues. We may even get a flag out of it.

When I turned 18 (in 1996 :o), like most my age, I started to hit the town on a very regular basis. Just about every weekend I would see Carey, Archer and Micky Martyn absolutely maggoted and running amok in the city. History will tell you that they went on to win the flag that year :)

Baz it aint the Bay
Lawyers perform better intoxicated
Footy players not so!
Times have changed as the NRL is seeing at the minute.
The club demands more from us in fees etc and it is fair we do the same.
Carey martin and Archer are 3 special players

I know its not the Bay bgs. But do you honestly think that if this is true (not saying its not), the club wouldnt know about it? It's what they do about it which is the real issue for me. And I guess we'll probably never really know.

I'm over it (2009) anyway.

As the thread has said the club has confirmed they are aware of the situation and other than dropping Hoops (which may have happened anyway) has not acted again!

Pfft, yeah your right. the guy has a squeaky clean track record, so when he says that he cant wait to go out on the Gold Coast, i guess he was joking.

Quoting quotes of un-named quotes? You should be aiming higher than Chief BF Sportscaster. I'm guessing ACA and No Idea are head-hunting you as we speak. Good luck with that. Respect. :thumbsu:

I think each player was given a few pots of HTFU to drown themselves in.
There was plenty left over from the 08 GF

mate, its BF not The Age, don’t take yourself so seriously. I was just saying what I saw and heard on the night. Couldn’t really care if Fev goes out and gets smashed every weekend, in fact I hope he keeps on doing it. It will just make it easier for the Cats when we play Carlton.

I heard a rumor that the club handed out 80k worth of fines and suspended 2 players from AFL duty because of breaking curfew. Ryan Houlihan and Shaun Griggs I think it was. Expect a media blitz in the middle of the season. The calm before the storm
