I feel like being stupid and immature and getting stuck into this stupidity...what can I say...we arent all perfect.
Ok so here it goes.....
Cummings IS a good footballer....the fact is, because he is a westy he would never get the credit when credit is due. The man was the Coleman Medalist for goodness sake and still didnt get chosen in the All Australian side. He had a bad year this year for sure. Injuries played a part. Scotty has an excellent personality, which I think is important to have around the club. Often a personality helps the club as much as a super star player. He is such a cack, he makes all of us laugh.
Lloydy....well Lloydy is also a good footballer. He is young, has a bag full of goals and is a supurb young fella. He isnt as funny as Scotty but well....basically who gives a shit...he can play football and not EVRYONE can be as funny as Scotty. Personality wise, Lloyd appears to me to be one of the nicest guys ive ever seen on The Footy Show. Alot of people say that he sounds like a derr brain and sounds dumb but I think he is gorgeous. Ohhhhhhhh noooo!! heaven forbid I said a footy player is gorgeous.....oh well now i must be one of those 'stupid footy chicks' into footy just to check out the guys. Well the fact is fellas and girls, I cant help but notice a goodlooking guy and if this goodlooking guy is a footballer well then goodbye my creditable footy image reputation coz Im going to say he is goodlooking....just as I would if he was an actor, brickies labourer, Doctor or model.
So my opinion is that these two players are both excellent players to have in your team. I think Cummings can kick as many, if not more goals that Lloydy any day....then again Lloydy is more athletic and has youth on his side which makes for a huge advantage. I think they are both good football players. Not as good as Lockett........yet.
On the other stupid thing JodvsMantis......
Mantis...Even I could figure out what Jod ment by saying he was 20, followed footy since 88. OBVIOUSLY you cant follow footy from the immediate time you are born. Technically what he wrote doesnt make sence but I guess he figured that everyone would understand what he ment...besides, I know you knew what he ment you just wanted to bag him. If you couldnt figure it out then well I guess you have more problems than a Buckleyless Collingwood.
Saying that Jod has absolutely no football knowledge is ridiculous...I know he does. Just because he has different views to you doesnt mean you can go make rash statements that he doesnt know anything about football.
Mantis you obviously know absolutely nothing football knowledge whatsoever.............see just coz I said it doesnt mean its true.
I must admit though Jod the way you have put your words together does kind of make you open to criticism. The thing is, if people dont agree with you on one particular issue then they will take something you have said, interpret it their own way or take it to seriously when obviously it is a light handed comment which doesnt neccesarily mean exactly what it technically says. This is something that I have learnt over the years of forum use. You always have to be so technical so that people wont take you the wrong way. But the thing is people will take you the wrong way even if they know what way you really ment...just so that it will benefit their argument. Also people seem to like to argue, they will try and pick any tiny incy wincy detail and turn it into this big thing that says that you would rather have a player with a brilliant personality and who is shithouse than a excellent player who lacks charisma. When in fact you said that you would rather the charismatic Scott Cummings than uncharismatic (in your opinion) Lloydy. Jod said he wanted Scott Cummings (not 'personality guy who is shithouse') rather than Lloydy (not 'brilliant ablsolutey wonderful talented player') You see what I mean? You probably do see what i mean Mantis but you will probably take some sentence and turn it into something else, take it out of context and interpret it to suit your advantage so you can give me some shit.
Mantis, dont think I am giving you shit....its something most people do on forums....its a kind of selective hearing only not coz you dont hear things over forums you read them....so I guess it is selective reading.
People may have absoultely no idea what I am on about, which I suppose is understanably. The thing is I know EXCATLY what I am on about.
Oh yeah...just because I say this doesnt mean its true. Its something I think is true, that is what an opinion is. You dont have to think it is true. You can agree with it or you can disagree withit and say I have got it wrong, you could nit pick it, you could say Im an absolute raving looney or you could understand where i am comming from.......so where am I comming from?
well i have a 4 thousand word essay due tomorrow, which I havent even remotely started and it is 11.30 at night. Anything that allows me to procrastinate (guys that means put off, delay etc) is wonderful.
