Anyone have an understanding of what Lovett's situation is? I'm a bit anxious that he'll be leaving at the end of the year if he still hasn't signed, and he has been pretty pivotal this year.

Anyone?

We have to get rid of three yes? Lucas, Nash, Williams. With Atkinson, NLM and Skipworth the only other contenders I can see.

Delist Williams, Nash, Lucas(ret) and NLM or Skipworth.

Atkinson deserves a contract.

Thanks for the update Womb.

A lot of those 2010 contracts are vital players, I'd be happy if some of them were given extentions asap to keep GC away.

Natrat isnt going anywhere... has been solid this year and very important in some big wins (especially over Hawthorn- both occasions- and in the Dreamtime game). Atkinson will surely be kept as well, has been very impressive in the latter part of the season.

Nash and Williams are definately gone, i still think the club might offer Jetta around on trade week even though he is contracted. Unfortunately i think Skipworth may be cut- but then he can be re-drafted if we dont find anyone else..

Lovett is the interesting one... thought i read a coupld of months back that he was close to signing a new 2 year deal... that better happen asap.

All these talks of contracts [McPhee] made me think of who else is out of contract come GC and GWS time. So I looked in here in hope of finding some up to date information.
But nooooo, that is too much to ask for the mods, because they have reaaaaal lives. ;)

But out of those listed, what can be updated?
Knights to 2012
Welsh to 2011
NLM to 2011
Omission of J. Williams, Skipworth, Nash, Lucas, Lloyd, Lovett, Caroll, German, Klemke and Magin

I am unsure on the contract lengths, so don't quote me on any of these, but:
Atkinson 2010

Any others that anyone can think of?

I was watching the video of the preseason testing last night, and the interview with Ashley Prescott. He speficially mentioned John Williams. What's the deal with that? Why is he still hanging around if they delisted him. Can they redraft him as a rookie?

Or did he just stuff up?

I think rookie-ing him has always been some sort of an option.

He's had his shoulders re-contructed post-season, so I assume he'd be down @ the club with their medicoes anyway.

It would be great if Williams was retained as a rookie so he can get his body right and have a great year for Bendigo up forward.

ps: Is Hurley out of reach of the GWS as well?
nope. GWS have two years to rape & pillage honest teams.

However, the story goes that the TV rights kick in around that time, so any player/agent would be nuts to sign beyond then, as the salary cap will increase, giving automatic increases to players.

In summary, GWS can go **** a goat, as they have no chance :p
