Huge huge news. What a sensational offseason. Proud to be a member of the Suns.... Now we write our next chapter!!!!

Congratulations on signing all these good kids.

Your club has been through so much crap and been an unfair whipping boy of the competition.

I firmly believe that you have more top end talent then any club and now you have most of it tied up it is just a matter of time before you flourish.

From one brother to another well done :)

Cheers mate :thumbsu::thumbsu::rainbow:

It's great news on 2 fronts, once again it shows the character of the 4 draftees and how much they have bought into the culture.

But the best news is it feels like the club actually had a plan from the moment they arrived and it's been executed and delivered perfectly. And that hasn't happened a lot in our history

So basically this off season since Prestia and O'Meara left, we've resigned:
- Swallow - 2019
- Miller - 2019
- Wright - 2019
- Martin - 2019
- Ah Chee - 2019
- Scheer - 2019
- Brodie - 2020
- Ainsworth - 2020
- Scrimshaw - 2020
- Bowes - 2020

And recruited:
- Barlow
- Hanley
- Lyons
- Witts

So much for the 'death spiral' we were apparently in. Quite possibly the best off season by any individual club I've ever seen. Can't help but feel a lot of pride and confidence in the club and the direction we're heading in now.

Barlow instead of Swallow as recruited and all is well in the Land of the Sun....and not forgetting Evans instead of Travis, who may just be our most influential recruit;)

Damo Barrett finally has the inside word on contract news - Evans starts working at the Suns the last few weeks - I think Evans may be the leak and in bed with Barrett #looselipssinkships

Ehh he is a guy that was working at Hawthorn when they got their premiership in 2008. Leaking positive news stories and having a good relationship with some of the bigger media players in Melbourne may be a positive thing.

If he is even the reason in the first place.

I'm only half joking - but anyone that tells Barrett anything can't be good as that bloke is the worst type of tabloid journalist and is always bagging the Suns as it makes for good click bait.

Same journo who last week said that Ablett was 'certain' to request another trade at the end of the year - let's hope his scoop is not accurate on that front

This post is awesome :)

TBH if May left that would almost be it for me. Guy that seems like the heart and the soul of the club riding off into the sunset would really almost kill any enthusiasm I have for the Suns I would have.

Of course I think it is fine and he will stay. But it would be that big of a blow to us if for some reason he pulled up stumps.

Not much chance that he will want to join cockface sipping lattes and shopping for clothes

Guys the rumours come from Barrett. The same guy that said Dave Swallow was gone last trade period before he re-signed and that we would have a mass exodus.

my guess is he has a wheel of off contract players and next to it a wheel of Vic clubs. He spins both and whatever it lands on is his rumour for the day

To be fair, all the is saying is that Hawthorn is targeting him which i'm sure is true. Who wouldn't want him? If he came and said that May was going to Hawthorn that would be a different story
