Nice choice with Wall as your non all start starter.

I am enjoying the added criteria and the forward planning it involves.

JP I think Jod23 has a little more team comradery then the Paul/Pau duo.

Pick #3

dwight-block.gif

There really was no other choice than to select the most dominant big man in the NBA, and at the same time take care of my Orlando quota given there are very few others I would choose to have on my team.

Pick #18

How Rajon Rondo slips through the glut of PGs drafted early and gets selected only two pick above John Wall is beyond me. But I like it.

I now have an elite point guard and an elite center. That's an awesome start.

I pick James Harden.

Will do a better write up later, but he'll be my non-all star starter.

His beard will bring me success.

Now means KG = player from my team, and Harden = non-all star starter.

Strategy.

Timmy D is mine!

Needed a PF who could shoot a J to give Dwight room to operate and Timmy D will also be the perfect leader beside Dwight to give him some direction and keep the team focussed. Still averaging a more than solid 16 & 9, and still has vintage Duncan in him like he showcased just yesterday.

Yeah, I strongly strongly considered TD at my pick.

I mean, KG and TD on the same team? That could have been amazing.

In the end though, I think Harden's possibly one of the best non-All Star starters that I could get, so in terms of this competition I couldn't pass him up.

I need a PG to feed the rock to LeBron...

So I select...

wallpg-vertical.jpg

John Wall

Hmmmm, potential and speed. But seems like a knucklehead. I guess playing with lebrone, he'll learn from the best knucklehead.

If he gets in the open court, he'll have lebrone on the wings. result - devastating.

With my next pick I select...

Blake-Griffin.jpg

Blake Griffin

speaking of devastating, on the other wing we have the Griff. Another huge specimen of a man thundering down the court and stuffing the ball into the hole. Only concern is regarding his ongoing coccyx injuries suffered from the meeting of floorboard and back through way of the flop.

I pick James Harden.

Will do a better write up later, but he'll be my non-all star starter.

His beard will bring me success.

Strategy.

well well. KD and Harden reunite. Can they coexist in this alternate universe Chad? I mean they do in OKC, but Harden needs recognition and wants to be a starter. The best 6th man in the league, but if you draft a starting SG Im afraid Harden will become erratic and D Howard like around contract talk time.

Fantastic pick.

Tim D is arguably the most popular player around the BBALL boards. Words can't describe how good he is an any language.

Quiet and unassuming, expect TD to get 15-20 ppg during the regular season with maybe 7-8 boards. Watch it move up in the playoffs.

hey Chad,

nufan isnt a Knick supporter (so his pick of Chandler only ticks one criteria)...

Also, does the less than two seasons of NBA basically mean a rookie?

Kyrie's stock just went through the roof.
My thoughts exactly.

But screw it, I'm sticking with my original plan and taking a young guy who is already one of the best scoring big men in the league (3rd in points for centres this year) and finished 4th in the entire league for rebounds per game. His per 48 minutes put him even higher in the rankings - 9th in the league for scoring. He's also number 1 for steals amongst centres, showing that he can do it at both ends of the court.

He's had issues in his young career, but he'll be alongside 2 vets who will help him reach his insanely high potential.

That's right, I'm taking DeMarcus Cousins.

This guy playing with CP3?

Come. At. Me. Bros.

He's also my "starting player who has not been an All-Star" pick.

That makes it a lot harder. Although technically, if they've missed 1 game they have played less than 2 full seasons, so you could expose the loophole that way
