Hi, just seeing if you have revised top 25 yet, or are you holding out for the big footy phantom?

And what your thoughts are with bombers up coming trade / draft period?
The list has changed enormously.
Here it is with no consideration for who has what draft pick and no deep analysis like Nightmare or Chris.

1. Andrew McGrath
2. Hugh McCluggage
3. Will Brodie
4. Jack Bowes
5. Sam Petrovski Seton
6. Tim Taranto
7. Will Setterfield
8.Tim English
9 Jack Scrimshaw
10. Ben Ainsworth
11. Harry Perryman
12. Todd Marshall
13. Jordan Galucci
14. Jy Simpkin
15. Kobe Mutch
16. Josh Rotham
17. Daniel Venables
18. Jonty Scharenberg
19. Griffin Logue
20. Harrisom Macreadie
21. Oliver Florent
22. Josh Battle
23. Dylan Clarke
24. Ben Long
25. Zac Sproule

As for the Bombers.
McGrath is now a clear number one for me however if GWS trade 5 and 8 for 1 I would take it.
You could get lucky and pick up a combination such as Brodie and Taranto.

5 & 8 ?....Gold Coast have 4 & 8, GWS have 7, 15 & 16.

Way too even a draft to be trading 2 high picks for 1.....GWS also need points for all of Setterfield,, Perryman, Macreadie & Mutch/Sproule.

Take out pick 7 and GWS still have enough points to match.

Highly Doubt it....Setterfield & Perryman are picks 8-12....Macreadie & Mutch are both top 25-30....Try again.

Remember, academy clubs get a 20% discount when matching draft bids.

Pick 8 is worth 1551 points. less 20% (310) = 1241
Pick 12 is worth 1268 points. less 20% (253) = 1015
Pick 25 is worth 756 points. less 20% (151) = 605
Pick 30 is worth 629 points. less 20% (126) = 503
Total = 3364

GWS hold:
15 = 1112
16 = 1067
31 = 606
33 = 563
Total - 3348

GWS can be in deficit 16 points on there 2017 second round pick or they can take their pick 51 to the draft (if they have an extra list spot) as well which is worth 259 points, subtract the 16 points from it to equal 243 points which will move pick 51 back to pick 53. Actually it only moves back to pick 52 as pick 51 disappears, pick 52 moves up to pick 51 and and 53 moves up to pick 52.

If you're going to talk about something helps to know what you're talking about. GWS will easily match the points. And going in to deficit on a second round pick is nothing for them as they still have this years trade period to pick up more draft picks if they want or trade for future 2017 draft picks.

They also need to reduce their list by 2 this year.....Though they'll likely pick up second rounders also for McCcarthy, Marchbank, Steele & Stewart....Meaning Sproule & Garthwaite can also be secured.

Regardless, all these concessions mean their list will improve yet again....What chance does any other club have in the coming decade?

Thanks for the acknowledgement that I was correct.

What ever happens, look for GWS, GC and Bris to include some/many of their later draft picks in trades this upcoming trade period to dump them now that teams can only take as many draft picks to the draft as they have open list spots.

Was my mistake
I am speculating that Carlton will do trade that is something like pick 5 for Marchbank maybe Stewart and pick 15
Remember GWS will acquire more points through trading Steele and Hoskins Elliot both likely second rounders and Stewart who could be part of Carlton deal or third rounder.
I think they will go hard for pick 1 and I think Essendon will bite. Two top ten picks in this even draft is more valuable than pick 1 I think. Especially when we are likely to have 19 and Hibberd draft pick which could be 26.
GWS get pick 1 setterfield perry man macreadie and Sproule I think they pass on MutchMutch

Apologies...Got you mixed up with foj at the beginning of the page.

I think that you need to review your positioning of Josh Battle, he will definitely go in the first round, and potentially in the top ten.

You do realise this isn't his phantom draft but a personal ranking right?
