Was thinking who would be the top 5 current day indigenous Lads playing today.
Not sure how it stacks up with previous generations, so might be worth comparing.
For me it's these lads.
1. Izak Rankine is the best. The others I have clumped in together. I think NWM is the closest on potential.
Jy Simpkin
NWM
Charlie Cameron
Tim Kelly (In Form)

With regards to where they sit compared to previous generations, we are a long way back.

Jason isn't indigenous as far as I know. His step dad obviously was, but not him himself?

Played for the All Stars maybe he identifies as indigenous?

Who knows. From what I understand he isnt indigenous himself.
I could be wrong, but maybe due to to his step dad he might claim it.

Edit* Upon researching it apparently his great great grandmother on his father's side was indigenous and he only found out as an adult, as he has never spoken to his father.

When was the last time Tim Kelly played a decent game.

At his best he is elite, and could play way again if he gave a shit.
We're not holding our breath, just hope he at least contributes and isn't a liability. I think he was important in 22-24 though in often carrying our midfield, often unheralded.

What are you referring to with the last sentence “With regards to where they sit compared to previous generations, we are a long way back.”?

If we are listing Tim Kelly, we probably should also include Maurice Rioli and Polly Farmer.

If listing at their best right now - anyone who watched Kossie Pickett this week would have him at number one. Problem is we have no idea what he will do next week = and how long the suspension will be.

Karl Amon criminally underrated. Gun player.
