It's crazy how Kozzie Pickett hasn't been mentioned yet. Did nobody see what he did the other day?

I'm talking about how the group of indigenous players compare to other periods. What are you referring to with the last sentence “With regards to where they sit compared to previous generations, we are a long way back.”?
Strange list imo.Was thinking who would be the top 5 current day indigenous Lads playing today.
Not sure how it stacks up with previous generations, so might be worth comparing.
For me it's these lads.
1. Izak Rankine is the best. The others I have clumped in together. I think NWM is the closest on potential.
Jy Simpkin
NWM
Charlie Cameron
Tim Kelly (In Form)
With regards to where they sit compared to previous generations, we are a long way back.
Yes, he has indigenous genes.Jason isn't indigenous as far as I know. His step dad obviously was, but not him himself?
Jase Burgoyne flying under the radar and coming along nicely, he's like a blend of Shaun & Peter just does not panic under pressure.
Yea you are right. Spud delist.Did you miss him absolutely spraying one out on the full when the game was on the line in the last quarter against the swans?
Yea you are right. Spud delist.
Nah you are selling him short he has innate Burgoyne smarts, defends ridiculously well for his size/weight very underrated.Thank you bong hose. That’s all I needed.
Banter aside, he has improved a lot but wouldn’t be near the top 5 for me. Genuinely thought he had no chance of making it after his first 5 or 10 games.
Wanganeen-Milera is a gun, so too is Kosi Pickett. I agree with your list, but I will say that from my mob, young Lawson Humphries is a lad to watch out for, and should be in the conversation soon enough. His composure under pressure and ability to execute by foot on both sides is extraordinary.Strange list imo.
1 Rankine
2. Horne-Francis
3 Wanganeen-Milera
4 Pickett
5 Hill of the Bobby variety
Cameron & Kelly in ordinary form.
Sanders just had 32 disposals @ 91%, 14 score involvements and a goal, but no one would be ranking him top 5 because he, like Burgoyne, doesn’t have anywhere near enough runs on the board.Jase Burgoyne flying under the radar and coming along nicely, he's like a blend of Shaun & Peter just does not panic under pressure.
absolutely.Simpkin isn’t in the top 5
I’d have Pickett over him any day.
Only 21 but yes he's definitely going very well.Jase Burgoyne flying under the radar and coming along nicely, he's like a blend of Shaun & Peter just does not panic under pressure.
I reckon Burgoyne has had 32, 27 & 23 possession games this year off the top of my head.Sanders just had 32 disposals @ 91%, 14 score involvements and a goal, but no one would be ranking him top 5 because he, like Burgoyne, doesn’t have anywhere near enough runs on the board.
Maybe both are in a couple years, but reputation needs to be earned
I wouldn’t be comparing him to small forwards. He’s playing the easiest role in the game right now, and while he’s been very good, he’s really just another half back. I’d argue he may not even be top 20 in his position yet.I reckon Burgoyne has had 32, 27 & 23 possession games this year off the top of my head.
I wouldn't have him top 5 current, but it's not some giant leap when some of the blokes mentioned are 10 possession small forwards.
Well he probably had 3 BOG's for us last year he's not some run of the mill half back potato, he's attacking it's an important role and he can get up the ground and kick a goal people see what they want to see I guess.I wouldn’t be comparing him to small forwards. In comparison, Hill and Pickett would both be top 10 small forwards and have had that status for more than a year now. And small forward is considerably harder to do well as, if you trust the word of the players themselves.
I watched him a Jr and he was really, really good. I was surprised that he didn't get rated as highly in his draft year.Jase Burgoyne flying under the radar and coming along nicely, he's like a blend of Shaun & Peter just does not panic under pressure.
There's some talk about him being an AA smokey in some quarters.Well he probably had 3 BOG's for us last year he's not some run of the mill half back potato, he's attacking it's an important role and he can get up the ground and kick a goal people see what they want to see I guess.
