don't know what its like when someone pulls a knife on you in Oz, but in detroit or chicago its hand over your wallet time!

i have had a c*nt pull a knife on me at work, told him to f*ck off or i would call the cops, and picked up the nearest bat like object and walked towards him. he f*cked off.

Have also faced down several situations that require you to be unflinching in your attitude.

saying crap like "leave the store now" just doesnt cut it.

difference between dealing with walk in public, and dealing with distributors etc that need your business as much as you need theirs.

True story,

I was going out with a girl in high school who's next door neighbours wife worked the graveyard shift at the local 7-11.

One day, in comes a guy with a gun all nervous (1st time at armed robbery) asking for the money in the till (all $50 of it). She goes for the phone, he freaks and shoots.

Outcome, mother of 3 dead. Guy in prison.

The guy that pulled the trigger lived in my street.

obviously you have never dealt with someone holding a knife on you and threatening you.

telling them to go get f*cked does indeed have a better chance of making them back down, rather than pussy footing around them.

I dont know if the same holds true for a gun, but a knife is a close up and personal weapon. If you show them you are not gunna back down easily, they tend not to go through with the attack.

Where did you learn this. I must remember that when I look at the 3 and half inch scar on my forehead.

Circumcision?

Sorry, EssJayW, but the joke was there to be made. :p

3 and a half width. I will take that as a compliment. :)

BTW. Ask your mate to answer the question.

yeah, you're the biggest d$ckhead anyone has ever seen....

Again, didnt want to, but if you keep leading with your chin.....

BTW. Ask your mate to answer the question.

He's a big boy - can make decisions on his own, an' all.

Well there you go. Another intelligent poster joins our ranks. I look forward to more of your humour. But tell me why do you have to use an alias?

what question?

I apologise. For someone as clever as yourself I thought you could understand a few letter strung together. But I better word things more clearly and put a question mark at the end of each sentence that forms a question.

Answer the question, or is it just more rubbish pouring out of your mouth?????????????????????????????

on the customer is always right issue, if employees have the ability to refuse to serve customers who are extremely rude or obnoxious, sure they won't be back and you lose potential sales. But it also costs a lot of money to find and train staff when there is a high turnover because they hate their job and have to cop customers abuse on the chin.

If you tend not to read my posts it must have been pure coincidence that you read the 2 that were directed at you.

If by chance you happen to read this, can you elaborate a bit further, other than just personal experience, as to how the attacker tends to back down when you tell them to get f*****?

It'd be handy. That is, after all, why we have them.

Are you having trouble reading and understanding? I asked you a question.

Does your mate need your help in answering posts directed at him?

simple psychology.

the knife is a personal weapon. If the attacker wishes to harm you, he has to get in close to do it. It is also very messy

If you show that you are willing to rumble, it takes away the confidence of the attacker. (most people who flash knives as intimidation factor won't actually use them)

Once you have made him less confident, the act of you facing up to him with a similar weapon (in my case, half a broomstick) gives you the edge.

Are you having trouble reading and understanding? I asked you a question.

umm...its not me who seems to be having trouble here. I will spell it out for you.

Slowly.

I answered your ****ant question with a rhetorical question. I simply pointed out that almost everyone on not only this board, but all boards on the internet use an alias....including you.

I, on the other hand, dont. MonkeyButterer is the name my dear ol' departed mum gave me, god bless 'er soul.

You know, the forehead scar/circumcision joke was originally just that - a joke. Now, it's starting to develop a whole new cachet.

Thank You. Now that wasnt hard. Isnt that easier than all the BS.

I agree that people who flash knives purely as an intimidation factor, dont generally intend to use them. But when people use knives as a way to achieve other purposes, ie getting money to feed a drug habit, or trying suicide by copper etc etc, etc then more subtlety is needed. Unless someone is 100% confident in their own disarming abilities, I would suggest they are better off complying, in regards to handing over money from a cash register etc.

The joke was quite funny, quick and very clever. An exellent comeback. 8/10. If had a sense of humour I may have even laughed.

As you know, I am not refering to aliases of your actual name, I am refering to aliases from other user names on this site. ;)
