Cyril Rioli is still the most overrated player of all time.

I love how the Straight Setters are having a go at a bloke but ignore Motlops Leon Davis like effort in the Finals.

Why is there no arse sore Handbaggers who will comment on this?

I'll comment and at the same time I'll put this into a clear perspective for you:

Leon Davis medalists -

Cyrily = 1
Motlop = 0

Luckily for you I'm on your "much vaunted" ignore list so you won't feel obliged to reply to this anyway. :cool:

Doesn't happen against good sides he goes missing against the Hawks, Swans & Power.
Nope stands up in all sorts of games-had a tough year with injuries hampering his footy on game day.
Stop fretting-you'll be seeing plenty of the finger twirl for many years to come.

Yet Cyril did not?
Motlop played numerous games hampered pretty severely by leg issues and as they game wore on he became less effective. I suspect in an ideal world he would have been retired for the year in about round 17 or something and allowed to get fit for next year. But because the club had so many injuries, he had to play, albeit in a limited fashion. If you were at the ground, you could see him hobbling of the field etc regularly. Bad luck for us. His best footy is very effective and great to watch.
Your club had lots of injuries this year, but it seems to have plenty of depth and had little trouble covering them. Cyril didn't play with an injury, he played not match fit, but his body was fine I assume.

Yep, he did, it was just a little part though wasn't it? The team got 442 disposals and Cyril got how many of them? Can't really see why you guys can't acknowledge he wasn't the best in the world. Still cranky despite going back to back hey.;)

Meh, two intercepts for two goals, good enough for me.

The first one was a beauty.
The second one-nope-just a regulation smother of a dumb kick. Then it went through 5 more players before the goal. But yep that is Cyril's goal. You guys are unreal. 9 touches in a team that got 442 disposals? Tops.
Toughen up sooky lala's?

He had a good game all things considered.

And the two goals he directly created came at times where Sydney had what little momentum they could muster, but it was put to bed both times due to those moments of Rioli magic.

Hate him all you want, doesn't change the fact he directly contributed to our B2B win after having so many weeks out this season. Injuries have cruelled him unfortunately.

LULZ at you posting this rubbish and then potting Rioli.

By your own logic Motflop has lived up to his Bay13 name.

Try to get grip old thing. Never said I hate him. I actually like him but think you make far too much of his impact. He contributed to one goal in a team that kicked about a hundred, he got 9 touches in a team that got 422 disposals-brilliant game.

Am not really potting Rioli. Just questioning the over the top worship. You are the ones potting Motlop and I am pointing out he is pretty good. Better than you seem to realize.
Why can't you sooky Hawkers just enjoy your success without sooking everything up, all the time?

Look, let's be honest, Cyril was just a cameo at best in the GF and could have easily been left out for someone else, such was the Hawfs dominance.

However, the biggest failure in the GF goes to Lewis Jetta, easily, as proven by his Leon Davis medal (he and Cyril now have something in common though).

Not sooking at all fella, and I can guarantee that I have been enjoying the success since it happened. I've been walking on air. You know the feeling.

Doesn't mean I can't pull up people who are on the WUM (in this case) or are just plain stupid (in numerous other cases) on here though, does it?

Haha.
Its easy, you just say-look Cyril is a terrific player who adds a real spark to our team and at his best makes a difference. But he was a long way underdone and off his best footy in the GF so really his contributions were very minor.( as can be seen quite clearly by his stats and a viewing of the replay)
But I am moving on now, over the sooky lalaing.;)
Yep Hawks are in terrific shape and playing very good footy, so enjoy it while you can, because as you know, nothing last forever!

Bullshit. Who voted on that? Young was way worse. Rioli is the Shane Woewodin of the Davis.
Why bother?

It's the theme of the bay to WUM us with Rioli-related crap. Meanwhile he's won 3 Premierships in his 7 seasons, and every single Coach bar none would take him in an instant.

But of course, the uneducated pillocks on the bay know best!
