Because the fact his contract is front loaded is irrelevant to freeing up cap space for next year. Either we pay him what is required to keep him on the list for another year (easily more than $200k) or get rid of him and save all that money.

If you were to consider this to be true. It's quite obvious dmac has not much footy left in him. Making the transition back to Melbourne would run a hell of alot smoother if he is still playing football. An opportunity to make connections
