I notice a couple of reports to come out of the Friars - NOBS game, anyone see anything? Who's on report?
One of them could be in trouble, the other should see an umpire demoted but he was the RDFL umpire, but I'm not sure what he has actually reported him for as there was nothing in it, barely a free kick

Not a lot in either one but enough to have them both red carded. Big Mirrabella has priors so he may be in some strife but let's hope not with the injuries down there it would really stretch their depth.

Small ground and wind conditions being what they were on saturday

So are you saying he doesn't like windy conditions or isn't a fan of a smaller ground conducive to more congestion where he actually might get tackled? Let's hope there's no wind during the finals and the games are played on big grounds - maybe Werribee can lodge a request with the VAFA for him?

Or maybe he played in a more affective role up the ground?????......

Werribee won this game quite comfortably did they not??

As for the tribunal, they might aswell book holidays away this weekend, as your guilty until innocent with the VAFA tribunal.

from what ive been told, the weather wasnt the problem for him. it was the little tagger that didnt get a touch of the ball all day but was constantly bumping lee even when he was trying to do up his boots. what kind of a team sends out a loser like that to play footy who cant get a touch on his own merrit but just bumps a player all day. even when the play isnt near them?? clearly his job wasnt done well considering other fwds kicked multiple goals, his attention should have been focused on the players actually doing something.
maybe because of reasons like this is why smd is on the bottom of the ladder.

Both Barrells loaded there aces.

westy, just wondering if there was anything wrong with cam lee on the weekend? i noticed he didnt kick any goals and heard he may have only had 4 possessions.
any news from the werribee camp about him?

Yellow card for answering your own question aces, c'mon bench yourself.

Good game played on Saturday between SMD and Werribee. Tigers just had to much polish over the ground with the 2 big Pelar boys dominating the middle and at full back.
In regards to the comment made about gthe tagger doing the job on Lee, I think it was a terrific job done by the SMD player. Lee being one of the quality players in D1 having little impact on the game enabled the Districts only to be a goal or so down at three quarter time but as mentioned before they had to many good players all over the ground.
I'm pretty sure most opposition coaches opposed to Cam Lee will accept their player not touching the ball as long as Lee doesn't touch it either. I'm also sure he is used to the attention as well as he would cop it each week and the attention wasn't over the top nor any malice throughout the game.
Big game for SMD this week. Hopefully get a few players back and good to read that Friars possibly have a few out which could help us as we need all the help we can get to avoid relegation.

One of them got off, They had video footage of the 'incident' and it was nothing more than a downfield free kick. Not sure about the other bloke with priors though.

I saw Mirabella from Whitefriars copped 3 weeks last night. From memory he's a big lad who plays KPP up forward? May make it tough for the Friars to push for a 2nd semi-final berth at our expense. :D

Looking forward to this weekend. I thought the Roys were a step or two off the pace when I ventured there last time. Will expect 2 big wins for our boys at Soldiers.

Cheers

Grum

I know, it was a shocking report

Shame about Mirrabella getting 3 weeks though, will mean a bit of a shakeup of the forward line

Lucky they play the bottom 3 sides over the next 3 weeks then ;)

Is the ground that bad? I haven't seen it for a couple of weeks but it looked, well, almost reasonable last time. The Pelar boys will have a field day with their big bodies if they play and it becomes a mud-fest don't you think Westy?

Kingbrown I noticed Brennan didn't play last weekend r u resting him against the bottom sides.

He has gone overseas, worse than that his brother returned in the reserves and injured his opposite knee. Is 6ft 4 and can play anywhere.
We were hoping to get Monzy back who is a gun, has had a setback so while everything is not going to plan we should put a pretty good side in this week. Leigh is a big loss.

Na the ground is in perfect condition. You'll need the gum boots while shovelling the sh*t. Do many players know their way down to Werribee? Just a hint it's out west. Will have the Lattes ready. Sorry no cream for the scones as one of the players just couldn't PULL it off:D

Ed we all know that these games can often prove the hardest to win as clubs scrap for their lives!

Mirra will be a big loss, key forward for the Friars and takes away from their marking power, lucky they have other talls Mattison & Cunningham up forward.

Big game this week at Friar Park haven't been there much over the last couple of months!

KB Brennan is a massive loss, only time I saw him was when he kicked 10 against us in round 1 and left quite an impression on the terrace experts!! May reconsider our wager for the return bout?

Oh please... anyone in Fitzroy will tell you that although we play Prahran for the Cafe Latte Cup, cafe lattes* themselves are so 2007.

*note: a latte not preceded by the term 'cafe' is simply warm milk - and given your fascination with "pulling off", we won't be going anywhere near anything warm and white.

Cant belive that - Brennan gone for the year or just the next month and back for finals?????

Best forward in D1 by a fair way - arguably the best player

Gee that does even things up a fair bit with Smerdon and Takacs getting the best backmen

Very interesting

Can't divulge when he is back, alot depends on if Brett Lee comes up for the Aussies in the third test.
