As if - I doubt the $1.5K maximum he can receive would stack up against the $30K on offer at EDFL or RDFL clubs for a similar role.

He is an old boy of the school Blade, but I think you are right about the EDFL. Scott West will more than likely head to back to his junior club Strathmore next year. Mark Johnson to join John Barnes at Doutta Stars and believe Peverill has signed with Greenvale for a bit of serious coin.Werribee has an interview with Scott West this morning and Adam Cooney this afternoon. The BIG incentive will be extra hotdogs on home games

I thought i might post just to put D1 2009 back on the top of the amateur big footy. My take is Amateur footy is very even, you rarely get sides under 50%, in other leagues sides get flogged, in the amateurs their are upsets most weeks. The posters here seem pretty good so i look forward to 2009, Rupppo have alot of work to do but D1 in 2006 was pretty amazing with some terrific players around at this level. No 5 for St Leos rings a bell, is he still going around? On- baller injured early that year played against us the second time round.

Good luck to him! The club needs a better season next year.
For his sake lets hope he lasts longer than the previous coach who was "re-appointed" then sacked 10 days later by the new president.

Are you able to table the reasons for this humiliating act upon a guy who stepped up to help the club?.
He will last longer for sure. I even think he may re-instate the peoples captaina nd go back to co-captains
You really need to get your facts straight. The committee did not reappoint the old coach at the end of the season. Following the end of season review at the club, which included player involvement it was decided not to reappoint. So whether it was the outgoing or new president doing the sacking the result would have been the same.
