From all the talk on here I would have thought Ruppo should be right up there... After NOBS crashed and burned in the second half of the season last year I doubt too many would take the $4.

I'm torn between the South Melbourne Market and the Prahran Market.
Prahran is great for fresh seafood and decent clothing whilst South Melbourne is very strong in veges, fruit and those incomparable dim sims.

$10 for OMs is a steal though - gimme some of that, they should've gone all the way last year.

Sth must be happy with the inclusion of Matty Bellingham, Kirk was keen to get him to tigerland after coaching him in the interleague and him also being a former Werribee resident for a short period of time. Kirk rates young matty and is sure he'll have an impact on the comp.

I reckon the only direction OM's can go this year is down Scribe. They are the St.Kilda of D1...had their chance the previous 2 years and failed. Speccy going is a massive loss...lol

Yar - what interleague competition was that old son?

Bellingham wouldn't be the first player to win a club reserves' B&F and then walk out.

Wouldn't be a match-winner even at D1 level unless he improves greatly on his 2008 effort at Port Colts.

Your obviously associated with the colts then grum, any insights you can provide into matty's game. hopefully i will get the opportunity to play with him in south's forward line.

never seen him play myself, but have heard a lot of good things.

Have heard he is an ok player by players that have played on him previously. Though they do not seem to rate him highly.

We dont want him to be a match winner, if we can get 30 -40 goals out of him we will be happy. It's hardwhen the Colts don't play you no matter how many goals you kick to have an impact. 100 goals in the 2's i think that warrants a few games in the 1's. Being an old Colts player myself I find it amazing at some of the young kids that are still playing 2's. But the Colts loss is South's gain.

We are rapt with a few of our pickups this year. It will be interesting though when the games start to see if they can actually play. I think our chances will still depend on last years group with the additions of Aqualina, Bracchi, Bellingham, Atherton and a full year from Costello.

so 103goals in 18 games not good enough ?? only a avg of 5.7goals a game !! not bad as a key foward imo

I've heard a rumour that Chris Alabakis has retired from football, as he wants to focus on the Impaja Cup. Can anyone confirm this?
Yaga is on a modified training regime and will commence training on 1st April. His cricket prowess isn't that great either being carted all over the ground on Sat. at South. The crowd was giving it to him

Hi All, Parkside F.C. in the Northern FL (Div2) is looking for a practice match on either April 4th or 5th. Can play at our ground or can travel. Please call Peter Dean on 0401 779 563 or PM me.

Pretty sure Clement is moving back to WA and will play with South Fremantle (if at all) in 2009. That's what I read in Sunday's Age. That may explain things better. :thumbsu:

it did explain things a little further until i heard otherwise!
apparently that report in the age was incorrect and is not planning on moving until the end of the year. he is very interested in playing at NOBS, just has to get some part of his leg right (not sure whether its ankle or knee) and will play. it´d be good side if he and john barker line up on the same day  any chance of barks pulling on the boots this season??

This might help Terry win a final!!

He could do with the boost after last years choke.

Hopefully they both play.

Strolled past Sunbury's training tonight and saw some familiar faces. Obviously playing in the Ballarat League is more attractive than D1.

Any that you would rate as a massive loss? You dont like to lose players but just at the moment Rupo is tracking well, the training has been excellent and the vibe is very positive.
