Addammo, Fastuca and McCutcheon have all missed during the year, hasnt hampered the tiges so far. They are a much better side than they were last year. I think they will make the dance, it just a question of if they turn up with the right shoes!

They can run out with any shoes on and they will still win the flag easily IMO.

The VAFA might as well engrave the Premiership Cup now, as i cant see the tigers losing, and may just do an Essendon of the 2000 finals series, where they smacked every side quite easily!!

Heard the tiges coach was still at the club at 11 oclock on tuesday night doin his homework on the monash side doesnt sound to me he would be doing that if he was going to tank. It would take 30 seconds to work out how to lose the game not 3 hours. Also heard they have a few injury worries Mccutcheon, fastuca, and adamo but have been told there not resting anyone if they are healthy they will be playing. And to make sure there up and running some have been told there playing for there spot in the side. Sounds to me like they are going to have a full on crack any more thoughts.
Your information is incorrect. The coaching staff did their usual Tuesday night working out of sides for Saturday for 1's and 2's and who's available. Also working on presentation night etc. Left at usual time of 8.30. Can tell you for a fact business as usual.

mobile, you already going down the injury path again before a final has been played ?, mccutcheon will cost you a final with his lack of discipline, fastuca is just too big and heavy to cover any ground and adamo got taught a lesson on how to be accountable in two finals last year, in saying this they will be to good and will smack monash twice in two weeks, one thing i will say is pressure style of football wins pressure games ( finals ), when the acid is on in two weeks i look forward to seeing how the bees respond.
Thanks for that, we now know what to do to win a final. Aw that's right we did win one in 2008:p

Look forward to meeting 90% of the bloggers on this thread when the Monash boys venture over to Werribee tomorrow - turn right at the zoo and look for the premiership cup, is that the right directions?

When u arrive Trev, don't freak out. That is a state school next to the ground, not a state penatitiory. The difference is the school let the inmates out over the weekend!

Looking forward to it! Go tiges

TT - my favorite Ammo Ground was at Coburg ( showing my age) there was pretty much pentridge on one side and a cemetery on the other. our coach told us to toughen up one day at half time because the ground was the safest place to be!

Your memory still works OK Trev - although I'm sure the Coburg boys tried to knock it out of you!! Fascinating contest tomorrow, no doubt Werribee will want to put up a strong showing in preparation for the finals. Won't be nobody getting rested unless they have a real injury of some kind. Monash coaches may play a few games as they don't have the same pressure going into the finals as their Werribee counterparts.

Go Ashes....

At the same time, if monash play games and get smashed, 2 things can happen.
1. Lose second spot if pennisula get a massive result
2. Lose all confidence going into the following week.

Monash won't be playing games, either will werribee, this will be the first 4 rounds of an 8 round title fight. Maybe 12 round if they both make the granny.

I don't know why,you complained about the conditions at Aquinas wait till you get to Peninsula.

Dont know how you could compare that ground to Aquinas, the ground yesterday was possibly the best ground outside of Whitefriars in D1

Ok so we actually played at a different ground than the school but...

Non event at soldiers today. Monash pulled two
out but still need to make up 98 points next week.

Tiges have upper hand
Tigers played with 21 players after 15 mins into first quarter which didn't seem to unsettle the players. Wouldn't read too much into the result. Noticed Monash tried to isolate some of tiges slower players by puting some qicks on them, but that didn't seem to matter.
The big question is can Monash turn around that result rather than Werribee able to win a final?
TT saw some of your kicking on Sat. Maybe its time to put on the boots mate:D

Your kidding. You would need to sew two jumpers and two pairs of shorts for me.

Struggled to kick it 20m to get it back over the fence. was a bit worried about slipping over in the muddy carpark though!

Do any of the Werribee people out there know how young Trav Dean is doing?

And will there be any reprecussions from that under 19's game?

They kept him in hospital over night as a precautionary. Was discharged before lunch yesterday. Bit sore but ok.

Reports are that it happend right in front of the ump and he didn't do anything. Club should get the league to investigate it, as it was off the ball and a player has ended up in hospital.

Also they have a return clash on Saturday in the first semi at St Bernard's.

Werribee also has the U18's and Seniors playing there that day. Well liked player is Trav, but don't expect any repercussions on or off the field. All the boys from the seniors down are focused on winning.

I Hope the VAFA do something about it. If nothing is done, and WHen the 19's are smacking them again this weekend, hopefully things dont get out of hand.

Im sure the Werribee Boys will be playing footy

I also hope they smack them this weekend.

The player in question from Fitzroy has been charged and the hearing will be held tomorrow night.
TT since Travy's jumper was cut off by the ambo's I will be able to sew that up with our number 99 jumper (xxxxxxxxxxxxL) so that it will fit you. I'm sure the club will be able to give you concessional fees to pay for next year.:footy:

Still about 3x's short!

Might have to borrow hoveys jumper! Lol

Ease up Dan. Mine is being worn fittingly by Andy Alabakis. Though it maybe tight fitting if i were to wear it at the moment.

Sorry mate, the opportunity was there, I had to take it. LOL

With the season moving into the finals I'm sure you'll be happy you no longer have to worry about painting circles on the ground Mr West.

Let's hope the bloke who does it at St B's has better balance and eye sight than your good self.

Best of luck for the finals young man!

Yeah I was there. My opinion hasn't changed - Monash are playing for second. Werribee are way better than the rest. No games going on at Monash either, that was the best available side - however after trying for 20 mins and being 5 goals down in the first, maybe they started thinking about the prelim in 2 weeks time, or maybe they were trying to finish 3rd and avoid a smashing the next week! (nearly managed it...) They might do a Freo next week and rest up for the prelim! Werribee will go straight through C grade next year with that line up - most impressed.

Trevor - i agree, 3 teams fighting for promotion only, don't think anyone can take the flag away from Werribee...
Trevor - who would you rather play after you lose to Werribee - NOBS or Peninsula.

Who do you think will win NOBs Peninsula - NOBS are 2-0 (just the second time around) I think NOBs will have 2-3 (but no more) ins from their last outing with Peninsula.
