Interestingly the last 3 reports have been thrown out with no suspensions including 2 tonight. Disappointing both were reported in incidents that didn't warrant send offs or reports. First report in a tackle was rough conduct, 2nd report was striking for a push to the chest. I'm told the hearings took a total of 25 minutes combined as footage showed both incidents were laughable.

I highly doubt 3 suspensions warrants being moved on from the league. Not the only club to have players suspended this year.

More frustrating is we played for 30 minutes with 17 players and 10 minutes with 16 players due to incorrect send offs and reports. Great performance to win by 8 goals. Looking forward to hosting Richmond this week who nearly got us in the previous game. They haven't seen the prince though.

Was not suggesting that clubs get moved on for '3 suspensions'. But, I was suggesting that the VAFA has a history of looking very closely at clubs that have a perceived ongoing discipline challenge or repeat appearances at the tribunal. Nothing more.

They may look but do nothing! Would suggest that if they looked and turfed clubs then A & B would be missing many members

Beaumaris AFC 16 club melees 2010 onwards
Collegians AFC 10 CLUB MELEES
De La Salle AFC 6 club melees
Old Brighton AFC 12 CLUB MELEES
Old Scotch AFC 9 CLUB MELEES
St Bedes AFC 16 Club Melees
St Bernards AFC 11 Club Melees
St Kevins AFC 11 Club melees
Uni Blues AFC 7 Club Melees
Fitzroy AFC 10 Club Melees

IVANHOE AFC
3 CLUB Melees & 10 suspensions

St Johns including 2010
2 Melees + 8 individual suspensions Wow they are really going to look at them?
Who's the Chump?

In fairness 2015 alone sees around 8 reports, one abandoned match and 3 suspensions for St Johns. (could be more, only started paying attention recently)

In fairness - 3 suspensions + 1 abandoned match [take that match out and you are left with stuff all.] If I were you, I would worry about my own members instead of trying to fix up other clubs. One A Flowerday Monash G sits with a 5 suspensions for a total that nears the magical number which will see him playing marbles next. Might I suggest that his 5 suspensions are just a small percentage of what he could have gone for yet you are happy to see him still run around behind players!

Its interesting you get personal (both with myself and chump), try to identify people (incorrectly) and righteous whilst hiding behind anonymity.

All I've done here is highlight some facts (without getting too fired up).

With regards to ignoring an abandoned match, sorry to mention it, I'd have thought it was a pretty significant event- I guess not.

Both you two are having a go at a club and their players in situations where you were not present. Chump has no idea of what the VAFA look at and you're the same commenting on St John's incidents. No doubt they played a role in the major melee but they are not repeat offenders as the stats show. The Wickers have also had 3 rubbed out! Not getting personal just highlighting some Gryphons facts [is the Flowers info incorrect IYO?] and you don't like it so ... people in glass houses shouldn't use the internet!

Wow Eye, great data. How or where can you find this kind of info? I can rarely find anything on the VAFA website or is it through a different source?

HELPS IF YOU HAVE AN INSIDE EYE AT THE VAFA!

:)

Good insight but some of the aforementioned A & B grade clubs have 1s, 2s, 3s (sometimes more than one 3rds team), multiple U19s and in some cases even a Clubbies. Some like St Kevs and Xavs have 7 teams and many others 5 or 6. JOCs, Wicks and others have seniors and reserves only. Unless comparing ‘pro-rata’ it is hard to infer that some clubs are substantially worse than others.

Thanks for all the data EYE, very interesting reading.

As for the incidents - I can only talk to our game against the JOC's and those two reports - yes I was there. I clearly was not at the other games and can only read the VAFA website. As Finalsperformer has said on here they were 'laughable' .....so clearly nothing to see.

As to what the VAFA look at - you are correct, I don't know exactly in 2015. BUT, I do however have some very good insight from a historical sense with close involvement with Fawkner AFC and discussions had at the time with VAFA officials before the departure of the club from the Ammos. So I was basing my post and thoughts on that.

Good luck to the Joc's and as their coach pointed out in the post match speech when we played them ...... "we need some better discipline. I've had enough .....I tell ya I've had enough".

Fair reply Chumpa. I indeed played against that wonderfully disciplined Fawkner Pentridge Side! Only opposition with Health Insurance played! Terrific ball players such as Wood, Wilson, Ford, Roach, Inzillio Jacobs etc

THE "Black EYE"

Round 12 selections:

Old Eltham vs Old Paradiams
South Melbourne vs Ivanhoe
MHSOB
vs Monash Gryphons

Try hanging out with them around a pool table in the off season after 1000 cans ............. plenty of reportable offenses late in the evening!

4/5 last week 40/50 total.
This week Eltham over Elsternwick
Monash a better side at home but Parade too many options up forward
Ivanhoe too strong for the Blues in the match of the round
South Melbourne came out hard against us last week and played some good footy. If they can play like that for 4 quarters they'll get their first win soon. Not this week Richmond too strong.
St. John's to get back on the winners list against the Unicorns in a tight one
4/5 last week 44/55 total
This week
Eltham disappointing last week, hoping for a better effort this week and a W
Ivanhoe to continue on their merry way comfortably
The Unicorns over Monash
The Blues too strong for the Wicks
St John's in a tight one over the Snakes

the race between 4th and 5th will be very interesting
If NB learned to kick straight the race could be closer

Spoke to a coach in D2 the other day who has bee around a long time and he said St Johns are a disgrace, full of sniping dogs.

What a shit comment Bedford.
I'd like to take the opportunity to let you know nobody at St John's gives two shits about your opinion or your mates opinion of our football club.

Are you from South Melbourne??? I'd worry about your own football club before you speak about others halfwit.

If you're still concerned with the culture of our club feel free to come and spend some time at our great club and I'll show you the truck loads of quality people and culture we have.

And if you're free in September come and watch our culture strut it's stuff in finals football.

Not from South champ. of course nobody gives a f about my opinion, but the truth hurts, your club has a bad reputation. Face facts champ your club is no good.
Also I won't need to see your mob in September as mine will be too busy

I guess we'll need to agree to disagree then. You have your opinions about my club and I have my own. The only difference is I actually know the people and the place.

After your shit comment my newest formed opinion is that you are an idiot and a germ.

Have a nice night bedpan

27 posts , you are a gem, germs are from your club. I made a comment that came from a highly respected person, who has respect from the whole VAFA. Maybe your thugs would be better applying to the shit footy league
