not to sound like a whiny school girl, but can everyone get over St Johns and their dirty play, i am sick of hearing about them every week and i honestly couldnt care less about them, half the posts here are about them, i would rather talk about footy and whats happening in the division but everyone here seems so obsessed with this team and their antics, half of you sound like school girls going back and forth when you won't even agree with each other anyway

Surely its not too hard to keep it strictly football

Would have to double check, but pretty sure two completely different grounds. Two completely different cultures.

I spent most of my late teens playing in the area! And I can tell you all right now if you are all labeling St.Johns thugs you sure as hell wouldn't last 1 round if you were to travel a couple of kms further down the road! I have seen a few St.Johns games this year, the weekend being one of them and I'm not sure why you all Insist they are thugs, they play a hard style of football that no doubt every coach of every team from u'11s right through to over 50's asks their players to play!

Grow a pair! It's football after all.

Could not agree more, played against St John's on Saturday and there was nothing untoward from them for the entire game. Maybe that is because both teams play a hard brand of footy and don't retaliate to a strong tackle or a good bump?

There was one fella in the 2's who looked like a bit of a sniper, but only late bumps etc, no king hits. I don't see what all the fuss is about.

A little birdy tells me that finals performer has not appeared in a senior finals campagn for quite sometime... when the remote opportunity has presented itself he has seriously struggled to stand up on the big stage.

I've had the chance to watch St John's a couple of times this year, from my point of view the way they went about their footy was how most teams aspire to play - tough, no frills, hard-edged football.

Also after watching St.Johns on the weekend keep an eye for them on almost footy legends...the big fella at full forward could be walking away with a car at the end of the year! Absolute screamer!!

That was without a doubt the best mark I have seen in a game I have been involved in, that is 20 odd years of playing footy. Huge sit!

Petition for a name change then? I'm furious he'd go around calling himself a finals performer when he really is more like a finals perfumer. I don't know the guy, nor think that joke was particularly witty but I just wanted to get amongst the banter.

Timothy Edwards took the hanger Saturday at the JOCS game. Massive. He'd be upset with the 100kg call. More like 97.

We were disappointing again last week, hopefully we can regroup and come out and get the job done against the Gryphons who are tough to beat on their deck
Match of the round at the Garvey. Going with the home side to cause an upset and knock off the Jocs in a tight one.
Another cracker at Kevin Bartlett reserve, going to go with the young blues but only just
South Melbourne have been building and I'm tipping them to chalk up their first win of the year against the Wicks.
Ivanhoe too strong in the seniors, the twos game should be a pearler

4/5 last week, 53/65 total. This week
We just got the job done out at Monash, this week we'll be looking to find some form for our tough run home. Hoping to get over the Jocs, should be a ripper.
Match of the round at Hoe Park. Ivanhoe would be hoping to bounce back after (I think) leaving a ground with no points for the first time last week. I think they will prevail over the Raiders, but only just. Promises to be another pearler
Congrats to South Melbourne on their first win last week, short lived joy, Blues should be too good.
Another cracker at Monash, as I said last week they are hard to beat at home and have nearly knocked off Eltham and Parade in their last two hit outs at home. Think they will get the job done against the Snakes.

Monash look the goods at the moment and look in real good form
MHS finals smokey? or is too late
Richmond look to have lost some of their edge and wouldnt be surprised to see monash finish above them
Hoes are what we expect them to be- the standard
Eltham and St.Johns both look promising but both also look a bit out of form which is not good
And NB have cracked into the 4, but its up to them to if this inconsistent side can hold their spot

It's the second time the Hoes have run over the top of the Raiders this year. Very happy (and a slightly fortunate) to get the four points from this game. We could have been in even deeper trouble at half time had the Raiders kicked straight. That said, a huge third term against a strong breeze to see us basically 'square' the 1/4, gave us a sniff. With that breeze at our backs and the Raiders looking like they were getting a bit over run late in the 3/4, saw us take hold of the contest quickly in the last and get the win.

We have Monash at home this week and we struggled to shake them (as we have the past couple of years) at their ground last time around. They look like they are playing some good footy, so we will need to be on our game again. Hoping to get a few more back for this weeks game and keep building over the last 4 rounds.

Not sure if I'm going mad, but it seems like two posts about EFC's coach resigning have been removed ? What's the story? It was the juiciest post in a long time...
