Odd you should bring that up. I was thinking of suggesting to the powers-that-be that we strike a medal for poster of the year in recognition of the years of great work by our departed wordsmith, Scribe. The exquisite choice of words. The craftsmanship in the form of those words. Combined with exceptional football insight have been sadly missed.

The working title for the award could be the Brilliant Scribe. Perhaps you could make yourself available to co-present the BS with Scribe as part of the healing process.

Certainly Bedders would be a contender. No one is more consistent, tenacious, puts in more effort or creates more discussion. All important attributes when assessing the BS. Just so there is no perceived bias, Bedders is more an 'old mate' of Monder Man and Gun Island than of me. The great man knows as much about me as Canada. Which is nothing.

As we speak, I'd suggest Rooster's eloquent, lively and occasionally waggish posts would have him as clubhouse leader.

Get something straight OAFC supported GE having juniors, the OJFC, MJFC, CBFC all voted against it. What 1 individual employed by the SMJFL did has nothing to do with Ormond seniors.

We are accustomed to you acting obsequiously when it comes to all matters VAFA, but please don't attempt to suppress the opinions of those who see matters differently. It's not your position.

We know a small number of clubs have been nailed over the years for paying players. We also know they were caught and punished because the evidence was served up on a plate to the VAFA.

I'd suggest it's the view of many that for any club to be busted as we speak they'd have to be caught holding a smoking gun.

So cut the attempt to censor the flow of conversation which is the lifeblood of forums and leave it to the Mods to step-in if and when that conversation is out of order. Stick to the facetiousness where your true talent lies.
