Wouldn't take to much into these predictions Westy. No one really puts the actual best players in every week.
 
Game On, Probably, but interesting to see. I wonder how the guys mentioned would be in the running for B & F at their clubs. M Taylor won our B & F last year and would be in the mix at present along with M Antonello and T Lee.

Definitely rate Glen Eira - you dont sit 4th for nothing

You might also notice their are no ESL on the list and I reckon we're going ok too.

My thoughts on GE

Ryan Clark - very good FF, but I just rate Bannister and Pace ahead as they have lesser mids delivering the ball to them in my opinion only.

Bongo hasnt played yet this year

Thats leaves your onballers, Massis, Diamond, Clements (injured), Tsiro and Patterson - who is the best of them - its tough to choose - they are ALL D2 top 50 material...

Maybe Massis and Paterson on form have claims over Shepherd from Banyule, Hutton from OW - thats a good question.

Rothe is in the best every week for Banyule yet had 6 kicked on him in one qtr when we played them - so tend to agree that clubs can place higher expectations on their guns some weeks with respect to their best players and maybe reward a role player.

Our best is usually as accurate as we see it
 
You certainly know your D2 VAFA football Drifter. Hope ESL are paying you well for your analysis of the opposition, if not you should put yourself on the market!

I really can only think of the players that stood out for me when we played them.

Robertson (Bent) Looked as though he was carrying an injury when we played them, he still played well and kick 5 of 7 goals for them.

Bannister (TP) was a stand out for me, very good player

Ben Hutton (OW) did not play that well against us IMO, although he was not alone on that day. Would not have him in the 10 from that.

Drapac (Ban) is another good forward, rate Bannister higher though

Pace (IA) see Drapac

Have not played Werribbee yet, but the Lee boys have killed us in the past and would easily be in the top 10

Easy Game On - its just my opinion.

Others with some claims - the GE boys I mentioned before, Renault (Werr), Braddy (Ban)
 
Anyone know if any D2 players are going to play on Saturday? When does the side get announced?

righto...i've just done my dreamteam trades, footy tipping and mapped out a multi......no need for D2 tipping this week.

enjoy the weekend off lads.....perhaps a good time to get on the gas with the boys or earn some brownie points with the darl.

Well done, and good luck to the boys from D2 who are playing tomorrow. Was wondering what happend to Robertson From Bentleigh, i was understood he would be playing in the rep side?....from what ive seen this year he def deserves a gig...
 
A mention also to the 2 young fella's representing the U19 VAFA side in Lee (werr) and Young (TP) a great effort especially considering this side is picked from all grades not just C-D4.

Good luck to all reps today and look forward to hearing a good report on BF

Well the Big V were a tad outclassed by the country boys - smashed in the 1st half but we did fight it out really well to just about break even in the 2nd half.

Im sure playing that level up will be good for all the boys involved.

Yep McKay is a little gun - took one hanger in the square which was good to see!! The country ruck was massive too and co-ordinated - he killed it as well.
 
South of The Yarra, is Glen Porteous playing with you this year? If not, is he invovled or playing anywhere?

Also I believe Parkside had a rich history in the Ammo's (70 odd years), however lack of success due to promoted success by surrounding clubs forced their hand to enter their club into the local competition. (DVFL - now NFL)
Only differance b/n P'Side and O.P's is that Op's were borne from their school. Not that that relationship bares any significance nowadays. OP's need to continue their alliance with St.Damians if they wish to survive this current hiccup in their club history.

as others have been saying in previous posts robbo "looks injured". I am not 100% sure but injury may have legitimately kept him out of the game or he may have simply put his hand up to have a week off just for the rest. you would have thought if fit and willing to play then he would have gotten a gig

T. Lee best on for the U19 Rep side, and Young from OP in the best as well. Good to see some D2 boys doing well.

Absolutely - The Bannister injury is very unfortunate - not as bad as Greenham's ACL though


What type of player is Young for OP???

Is he a wingman?
