I suppose that doesn't make Cunningham out to be overly bright then, does it....

and where did you get fishlock from, iq central?? it was obvious he can't play or tag for that matter, and i have seen 5 year olds throw better punches... maybe he can give jim cassidy some tips on how to hold on so he doesn't let another caufield cup slip through his hands......

IQ central? Jeez, what a comeback. Maybe you were referring to MENSA?

And yes, Fish clearly is the more intelligent of the two since he looked at his case, saw a way of getting cleared and did it. Cunningham either knew he was guilty or was too lazy to present his case.

I think it's obvious that Fish can tag since he frustrated Cunningham so much that he lost his cool and belted him.
Silly as it sounds, getting punched is the ultimate compliment for a tagger - it shows that you've got under their skin.

Maybe he was holding on, but that at least that doesn't warrant a suspension.

getting 4.4. kicked against you on a tagging role means your no good at tagging. Simple.

Getting snotted back after throwing the first punch means you got what you deserved, nothing to do with tagging.

That being said, getting off at the tribunal given what went down is a good effort, at least the bloke is good at something! Maybe he should quit footy and become players advocate at the tribunal.

Not getting caught doesnt mean your not guilty.

the cunningham he was tagging was not the one that hit him for starters and he did not do a good job tagging anyway cause he was comprehensively beaten and had 4 goals kicked on him...
cunningham was reported for retaliating so fishlock threw the first one anyway, and the umpire so it all...
i think this just needs to die, each club has their view and lets leave it at that.

a tagger is spose to stop his opponent from getting ball and that didnt happen so fishcock cant tag, he was a waste of space out there and cleary cant play. he may have not got suspended but he should get dropped to the 2nds to find his game if he has one. If he is going to used as the bentleigh tagger oppisition players will have a field day. Bentleigh no good in 07 the step up to D2 to hard for them.

drifter, i can assure you that werribee rate leos. don't be fooled by some of the banter on the thread.
gifted i can assure u that werribee do not rate leos.. once werribee hav there full strength team in they will be unbeatable... they are missing about 5 or 6 top quality players

Everyone is missing 5 to 6 top players. I think that 4 of the top 5 players from last years league b & f did not play last weekend. Can anyone tell me that they are at full strengh right at the moment??

Hello!!!!! Drifter, hope your playing in the ones v Werribee. tigers-ammo, what number do you wear? Looking forward to the boys hearing they're not rated by Werribee.

can anyone from werribee or bentleigh explain the situation so that someone that wasn't there can grasp what happened. even if everyone has a crack at being objective and specific in detail with the events then other posters might be able to give their objective opinions.

actually i want tiger -amos opinion, he is the most value on here at the moment.

If Werribee is so strong then why didnt you play finals last year or the year before and who knows how long before....

Are your recruits that good this year.. I doubt it...eg where is the great Perry Meka who had a week devoted to him on this thread?

Anyhow I'll happily mention this when we play you in a couple of weeks.

First off, drifter you're an idiot. we got up to D2 last year by making the grand final in 2005 in D3. Had an excellent start to the 2006 season but had a terrible slump towards the end to just miss out on finals, due to injuries and just out and out bad form by some blokes.

And yes there is general excitement about blokes we've picked up this year which includes a group of good, hard running young blokes. Also a few positional changes have reviatlised a few players.

As for perry meka, it would have been handy to have a gun key forward but we're no worse off without him.

as for when we play you in a few weeks, i'll be happily pointing to the scoreboard after we smash you

that is all

can assure you werribee do rate leos, Banyule were a very good side in Rd1, expect nothing less of Leos coming down from the higher level.

Firstly try to converse without insulting me mate.

I didnt realise Werribee had tasted so much finals success as it was in the grade below D2!!!

Good luck to you mate if you even play - nothing wrong with confidence but a lack of respect for any opponent is not the best approach.

Cheers

I know that at Aquinas we havent fielded our best 22 yet and i assume this would be the case for every team. I think it would be a rare occurance if any team actually does through out the whole year. With Werribee to get 17 absolute gun superstar players back over the next few weeks they will surely be unbeatable.

bees the only way u are going to get a game is if u stop oredered double quarter pounders after training..... and mate u are fatter then me.

rating clubs i dont think so us down at werribee rate each team on there merit, senior reserve u take each week as it comes at not look at form or ladders, just got to follow the processes and take it one week at a time.....

All i have to say is that guy from bentleigh is a goose... he was surpose to be teaging A. Cunningham, and cunningham kicked a lazy 4 goals on that old balls from bentleigh...werribbe to dominate comp. from this point on.. no dought once the Taylor boys are fully fit, they will an awsome addition to all ends of the field

Bloody oath we will be unbeatable... we will show our dominance this week by smashing the highly rated aquinas outfit on there home turf...

Fish is a great midfield tagger. He was given the job against Glen Eira, and completely shut the guy out of the game.
With Cunningham being moved to FF, we would've put our usual HBF on him....but for the fact he was injured, and didn't play.
We were so knocked back with injuries, that anyone would struggle to keep a tagging role while having atleast 3 midfielders streaming down into the forward line to assist, and no teammates around.
Most of Cunningham's goals were from
a) Fish running off to attack a free Werribee player with the ball
b) a free kick that is paid 50% of the time, and not the other 50% (i.e chopping the arms)
c) pin point passes from teammates that noone, not even the best taggers out there could stop...

How about the 2 defenders playng on Chris Sharp....they were BOTH playing a tagging role, and had 7 kicked on them....clearly Fish didn't do the worst job of the day....

You can blame that on the Keogh boys (soon to be droped)...but mate we still smashed ya's... even our 2's would beat their 1's

Big deal who rates who. Is it really an issue? Every team goes in to a game with the same mentallity and that is to respect your opposition because dosn't matter who you play weather it be the top side or bottom you still have to go into the game with the right attitude otherwise you'll get rolled
