Sure you will still have a good side with Bongo, Massis and Diamo playing, but ill back SMD to win.

Just wondering if any other team, apart from Bentleigh, have not had an actual football ground to train on this year?
I understand Bentleigh have had to make do with a postage stamp patch of grass behind their ground all year to use for training.

I'll back SMD - GE are certainly competitive - every side is - but you cant fault SMD form at all, plus they have Werribee breathing down their necks.
I'll also tip Aquinas over Werribee in the clear Match Of the Round, the Bees are red hot but think Aquinas will be up for this one

Great to see Luke Neimi back in the SMD 1's on Saturday after his European pub crawl chasing Euro woman. My source in Spain tells me he was spotted being entertained by the Beckhams at their going away party and was spotted in London arm wrestling glamour couple Peter Andre and Jordon, Peter on one arm, Jordon on the other. Good work tiger, got a few kicks too.
In SMD reserves news, balding club ex-captain "The Demon" continued to show progress and was very stiff not to be involved in the votes. Could there be a spot in the 1's beckoning, not if his older brother keeps hogging the spotlight who was excellent in putting the brakes on St Leos' dangerous playmaker "Chunny".

Onto the w/e game, we should be too strong for GE but they were very close to knocking us off last time so anything could happen.
Aquinas v Werribee defently MOD. From SMD point of view im still unsure who i want to win. If Aquinas win they stay on top and potentially if we win we go 2 games clear over Werribee and should be top 2. If Werribee win though we could claim top spot and the end of the year.
I think i will rather Aquinas win and try to sure up double chance.
May be a bit early to take a top 2 spot for granted yet saints, still plenty of footy to go with games against Werribee, Aquinas and Willy to come. Willy and GE will not lie down mate and we always have a bruising game against Bentleigh. These teams have plenty to play for, no one likes the dreaded drop.

Agree with you. Lot of games to go yet to be calling 1,2,3. This week will be a tester for Werribee. All guns blazing. I believe that the big ground of soldiers will suit our run and carry. Big change to this side to the one that played out at Aquinas last round. Aquinas will need to man up six blokes, as we need to do the same. Werribee by nine points.
Now i know who your talking about. I thin k he might be a bit off at the moment. Couple more games he should be jumping out of his skin.

St Leos would have to be dissapointed with the last two weeks. They were travelling very well and set them selves up for a nice couple of games against fellow final contenders. Only to lose both games in dissapointing fashion.

Very dissapointed down at Bennetswood. Drifter tells me we are close to full strength, and the performances haven't been great.
In terms of the last 2 weeks, the best side we have played is Aquinas. 2nd is daylight. 3rd is SMD.
Drifter, you're closer to the senior side than me, can you give me your opinion?

We were rolling nicely and looking to test ourselves against Aquinas and SMD
Fair to say losses by 88 and 71 points means we are well below the top 2
We are playing at very close to full strength - 2 out at most, so injuries not the issue.
The Aquinas game certainly shocked us - on our home turf it was very rough. I dont think the SMD game was 71 pts by actual play but thats a useless argument.
We have along way to go - our first aim is to make the Top 4 then we'll have one more crack at the contenders and hope to get a bit closer.
Disappointing but we're still hopeful that the last 2 weeks saw our opposition having good days - very good days
