Good to hear bentleigh will be competitive, heard their getting good numbers on the track and if the hit it hard in round one, i reckon their real hopefuls!

Wrong, Wrong and Wrong. Yourcall these boy's are merely winding each other up trying to bring this site back to life. If you like feel free to come down to soldiers reserve on thursday and have a look at the boys. Ticking over very nicely. Not much news from the Salesian, Jocs and Willy boys can anybody shed some light on any of these clubs.

I know a few people down at the club. Past player. Didn't really enjoy the atmosphere down there, a lot of arrogant people who think their sh%t don;t stink. Is it still the same?

Well i can tell you that in the years that i have been there their has been no sign of arrogance from any of the playing group. All the boys get along great especially on the bus trips etc. Granted that we have our fair share of creeps aka Scotty 'hachy' Kidd but you would be hard to find a better atmosphere and great bunch of guys. Wouldn't you agree Baldi, SB? Anyway YC make the trip down on thursday and i think you will like what you see.

Yeah, Shooter is back for another campaign. He’ll go forever.
Dimma has really become involved this year and is absolutely training the house down. He has worked hard on his fitness, which he knows let him down last year and is ready to tear the competition apart. He also said he's going to play a few more matches this season.
Remember D2 Amateurs is a massive step down from what he is used to playing, so he will be a huge factor this season.
God help any poor taggers who have to run with him for a whole match.
It’s been a tough pre-season but we’ve always found somewhere to train despite water restrictions and the list as a whole is looking pretty fit.
I know we weren’t that impressive when we were in D2 two years ago, but it is a completely different outfit now.
Who knows. Everyone rates their own chances at this stage of the year so we’ll just wait and see.
Dimma looked pretty fit last year, we tagged him in the GF after he wiped the floor in the semi. Scary! if he fronts even fitter.
Speaking of the GF, howd that kid Frost i think his name is go, he didnt do to bad rotating through the ruck, has he had a big pre-season and is he still 19s this year, also have you guys picked up any big blokes??

No jealousy at all my friend, none at all. CK was right, just trying to get some dialog going here, which looks to have worked. But in all fairness, the boy's ability is limited and it is time he really came to terms with that. Hope to see you down there YC, the mood has definately changed from a few years ago. Quality and knowledgable people have been recruited to the club lately and it has definately improved. It even brought GB back, didn't GB??
What do you mean my ability is limited. As you previously stated every team needs and orange boy and someone to warm the bench. Maybe we could take it in turns or maybe your too good to do the club things?
And with me coming back, well it has been a long time since i played my last game against Williamstown at home before knee surgery last year.
Anyway the dialogue should be directed to the opposition and not just through the Werribee boys. When your playing a team sport you would like to think everyone is comfortable or happy with each others abilities. Is that correct T7 or am i wrong?

Your a classy bit of work aren't you T7. You must be one of the arrogant people i was referring to before. Thinks there own sh%t don't stink. Obviously the club needs you there because of your ability and not your team spirit. I will be coming down but not to say hi to everyone and wear a sign that tells you all where i'm watching from.
I think you need a lesson in how to treat your fellow team mates and there abilities. What gives you the right to judge why a player can play and why he can't. Are you the coach?
If GB is the player that i have been told it is than he may still have something to offer to the club whether it be 1's or 2's. I think you should pull your head and concentrate on team performance.

No, I am not the coach, but I have stuck with the club through the good and bad days and hopefully some good days are coming again.
So your saying we don't have team spirit?? I think CK, SB & GB will all have something to say about that. So you will be coming down to have a look but not say hi to anyone, you really sound like the calibre of person we want to have around. Spying to see what you will be missing out on hey. Sounds like I am a classy bit of what compared to you. So who do you play for now? or let me rephrase that, which club is humble enough to let you grace them with your presence?

Frosty is looking super fit after doing a pre-season with sandringham so I am sure Bentleigh will be looking for greater output from him & the other guys in the 19-22 age bracket

Clements leaving will be a huge hole for them to fill. He was their "go to" man in a crisis and quite often pulled through for them. He will be difficult to replace if he has gone.

I also heard talk that Bentleigh may not field an U19 team this season, does this mean all you U19s will be playing seniors and would they be up for it?
Gifted - Yes we at Packer park are travelling ok at this stage. Having the benefit from having a reasonably stable pre season with the one venue and nights at the beach to break it up. We are looking forward to the practice matches in the next few weeks (grounds permitting). Picked up a couple and one or two have returned from self imposed exiles.
In regards to Salesian it would be disappointing for them to drop away as they did have a pretty good 2006 without really looking like being promoted. They have a new coach who is from Chelsea Heights and the mail I get is that he will be a playing coach (Key defender). So that maybe he will be able to cover the retirement of Bobetic.
I am expecting Werribee to be better as a team as most of the playing list is familar with Kirk and his methods. Not much really coming out of Doveton or Burwood. Aquinas have reported heaps of number according to their web site. It will be interesting to see how the Aquinas coach adapts to the more intense manning up this year compared to the start of last season.
