i think you're pretty close to the money with your assessment of things there espresso. i think aquinas are in a similar boat to S.M.D where it has yet to really all come together for them. to be able to register as many wins as they have without being able to fire every week will be crucial come the end of the season.

St Leo's will only improve for the rest of the year, to join Werribee, SMD and Aquinas in finals action. Salesian and Bentleigh will be playing D3 footy next year.

Next time you visit Bentleigh's home ground have a look directly opposite the grandstand and you will see a group outside the fence, having a drink. Towards the end of the firsts they come into the ground and get quite feral. They are beating the no grog rule by being outside the fence. Bentleigh should put a stop to this, this is not the SFL.

Would love to see Werribee in granny. Big test for the Bees this week against St Leos at Soldiers. A few out for Werribee this week and this will test the depth. The two's on top of ladder and this will give an opportunity for some of those bloke to have an impact in the ones.
I do'n believe Glen Eira will be relegated.

I think Bentleigh can stay up in D2 for sure - unfortunately that would mean Willy & Salesian to go down. JOCs may not be certainties to stay up either.

Now a bit of support for Leos was good to read - big test for us this week as well as Werribee - always hard to win on the road especially aganst the stronger teams.

Now Stooge - I dont think our win over Glen Eira can be that bad - GE were 3 from 3 at home before last Saturday so our form cant be too bad.

The Bees by 10 goals plus and 12 goals plus are two predictions from this thread - I certainly think we'll be closer than that but we'll see how we go on Saturday.

Fair to say on there day all club has a few loose cannons in the crowd but lets not discourage people from watching because we play in front of small enough crowds as it is. I for one love it when there is a bit of banter & niggle over the fence, make you feel like you are in a contest.

Leave the sanitation to the AFL & lets play it hard & support our respective teams

A word of advice on how to play the bee's 2's if I may. Play attacking footy against them, If you are planning to play defencivly and try to shut them down it will not work! They have too many smart and lively quick blokes!

How are ur guys looking? seems that when the cattle is on the park you guys look extremely good yet look vulnarable when a few players get pushed up? hopefully for our sake u have a few players missing.. either way its worth anyone that is going to watch what will be a gr8 game in the 1s to pop down a little early to watch what im sure will be a very competitive game in the twos!!

1s reports from aquinas have been fairly unreliable in recent weeks, though Marty usually delivers a cracking report for the 2s.

Harper and myself, as well as a few regulars from other VAFA threads are involved. basically all thats required is talking yourself up and sledging the opposition. the rest is pretty much handled for you. the season is half over, we just need some supplementary recruits to weed out the inactive members.

Why do you say that?
We've had a lot of close games, most of which probably should've fallen our way but didn't.
i.e Aquinas by 2 points, Salesian by 2 goals today (were up in the last quarter)...and we were also up in the last quarter against SMD.

We've shown we can match it with the top sides....and have just been unluckly not to get the wins in the end...
Just shows how even the comp is this year...
