I think according to Strobes, Therry are just playing him for a few games and not in the big games. We've seen this as they didn't play him against Glen Eira, JOCs and LaTrobe in the last few weeks. But I think it would be a good idea if they at least played him enough to qualify for finals as an Ace up their sleeve, especially if there are a few injuries with forwards or rucks.

I guess we'll see.

It would be a shame for them to drop a player in the finals to play him. I hope they are true to their word and use him as a novelty and not a weapon.

I'm not that keen to tip this week after only getting one last week. Ah well...here goes nothing.

Aquinas v St Marys
Therry v St Leos
LaTrobe v Glen Eira
South Melb v Eltham
St Johns v Westbourne

Anyone get to the LaTrobe game Saturday. Thought it would have been much closer. Report please.

Went downtown watch la trobe. Good game all round with the boys taking it right up too glen eira in the second quarter, the difference seemed to be the bigger bodies of glen eira in the midfield whith them running over the top of la trobe in the second half.

Few injuries noticed to the eira boys, sitting behind the benches watching, not sure if the vafa has much of a concussion rule in effect?

Not sure if the umpires are too concerned with protecting the heads of players if the incident you refer to is any example, considering the umpires had a perfect view of two players hitting him high with no penalty awarded!

No concussion test required, field umpire deemed it a fair hit to the head:confused:, even though the boundary umpire just about straddled the player laid out half on half off the field to throw the ball in, the field umpire deemed it safe for the game to continue only meters away.

Coburg was close for Banyule/Paradians. Therry & Latrobe will appreciate the short trip as well. Back it in

Spot on Doc-In fact based on last year's logic from Ammo HQ, whereby Old Westbourne (from Werribbee way ) played OPs (from Bundoora)in the 1st SEMI at Del La's goound in East Malvern...there's a fair chance that the current top 2
GE and Therry might find themselves scheduled at a mutually convenient location ..say for example like Skilled Stadium in Geelong!!!!

Last year as i remember there was a problem trying to get grounds due to the extremly wet weather and most of the ground were unplayable know the St johns v Latrobe semi was moved from scanlan reserve to another venue due to the boggy conditions.
so hopefully the Ammos can get the better grounds this year

I here Aquinas ground is available for finals and the ammo are thinking about using it:thumbsu::)

VAFA logic as easy to follow as the AFL sling tackle precedent set. Kamel Kebab Stadium will host D2 finals

Round 14, and if results go as predicted, then the door to finals action maybe just about closed on the boys from toffy Research!

Emmaus St Leos vs Old Westbourne
Old Eltham vs Glen Eira
St Marys Salesian vs St Johns
Therry Penola vs Aquinas
South Melbourne vs La Trobe University

A pretty straight forward tipping round........or is it? The Guru is tipping the upset of the season at Ferndale Park, with SMS getting over the line against St Johns. The rest to go according to plan. Remember you heard it here first.

Guru Out!

I wont reveal my sources Majic you'll never get that out of me. But this reminds me to say hi to Dr Truth. Prehaps the beer was flowing to freely last night and isnt out of the system yet but watch this space

The Guru seems to know too much, did you put "Little Creatures" on the menu last night? Suppose the Red & the Tour your idea too. We are as one many things, but on the result at Ferndale we disagree.

GE had to dig deep to overcome the turtles in their last ditch bid for the finals. GE were severely depleted with 5 out of their seniors plus the long walk from the change rooms. Hopefully GE will be at full strength over the next couple of weeks. Good to see over 30 staying back for a drink before the trek back to civilization.

Peanut! How many more dropped on the stroll to the ground from exhaustion?;)
Hardley call Packer park frog swamp any sort of civilization though!
Are the turtles officially done for the year?
