I don't know anyone that well at Paradians, but do they seem the sort of club who would send in a video unless they thought it was the right thing to do ? From the limited dealings I've had with them, they don't.

Unfortunately the "he fumbled the ball, so it must be his fault" defence doesn't quite cut it these days. We saw what happened to Franklin when he hit Cousins.

I guess I want to know how a player can presume another player has the ball. He does, or he doesn't right ?

Totally off topic - on the open road in NZ its the law to pull over to the left and wait for it to be clear both ways before turning right. Absolutely amazed that it isn't illegal here to stop in the middle of the highway. What's the point of being "in the right" if you're dead?

P and G I have the video. Belliz was in a bent over position as he fumbled the ball. If he had have picked it up cleanly then we wouldn't be having this conversation. Herbert ran TOWARDS Beliz on the persumption he had the ball, Belliz fumbled and Herbert collected him high with his Hip. We are not disputing contact.

Even the tribunal siad it was unintentional which it was. The tribunal said if it was intentional then he would have got more.

My point is that it was in play and the umpire standing 3 metres away deemed it not worthy of a report. Of course videos can make it look worse at times.

In comparison to other incidents it was definitely not worth 3 weeks.

The final round to the season, and the permutations to decide the makeup of this years finals series, and amazingly the relegation battle as well, is probably making everyone's head spin. But it boils down to the old saying: make your own luck and just win !

Old Eltham vs Therry Penola. The Research Toffies amazingly still have one last chance to remain in the division. Can they belie their recent form ?
Old Paradians vs Old Westbourne. Is this the preview of the 1st Semi. Probably will be as but I still think the Raiders will get to the big dance. Amazingly, these two clubs will also square off in the Magoos 1st Semi as well.
Glen Eira vs Emmaus St Leos. The General Electric boys have grabbed the double chance and wont be letting go as Emmaus's run comes up short.
Banyule vs St Marys Salesian. The Saints will be praying, but not for a victory here !
Prahran vs Bentleigh. The Two Blues can avoid the double drop with a massive win here. Feasible, but not expected.

Lets put this issue to bed. Parade lodged the investigation the monday after the game. As with all investigations they take place the following week. Lets move on.

Has anyone any idea as tho where the finals will be. I have heard St Bernards or Coburg. Anyone heard anything else?

Councils have pulled the plug on four finals grounds, VAFA are scrambling to find alternatives, hence the delay on announcing venues.

Interesting end to the season with both Parade and Glen Eira getting beaten.ESL came home with a wet sail but left their run short. Eltham avoided relegation with a big win over a dissapointing Therry. SMS will head back to d3 after getting a hiding at Banyule.

Next week will see
Banyule 16 -2 v Glen Eira 11-6
Banyule won both of these encounters during the year by 10 and 85 points.

Parade 10-8 v Westbourne 10-8
Westbourne won both these games during the year by 24 and 7 points.

Will wait for the announcement of grounds but at present Banyule and Westbourne for mine.

I think that is a mistake. the website says that the grounds will be anounce tonight. It also says that St Leos are playing in the first semi which isn't the case.
