are you serious....this guy was a quality player in A section and he's about 21 or 22.....
Pity he's not the one that signed, it would have been great to watch him tearing it up in D3...
Keep recruiting the over 35's and let everyone else recruit the gun 21/22 year olds....

The lack of a full pre season didnt help J Coyne, but there were quite a lot of players who were stiff to miss out. But thts footy and it has the upside of having a next week. And yes Sharpey is still playing but will be rested this week. At his age you would rather rest his body and be 100% next week then play at 50/50

Rested before round 1 after a week off with no game..
Down at Auther street he is better known as Flash, weaving in and out of packs, similar to the likes of Davey.
Expect big things from the lad!
The only forward line you might see Jocko lining up in this year will be Canterbury. Hawthorn asked him to leave.

Watching St. Johns I feel that they will improve as the season progresses. Got the first two goals then an even game til 3rd quarter.

Checked the Monash team sheet, there were none of the recruits or big name players continuosly mentioned on here....
No Flowerday,
No Watson,
No Rutherford,
No Sheilds......
Surely these guys aren't still to come in Marching?

Here is what i heard... the little nugget playing in the centre for the gryphs had an awesome game. Hopefully he plays a full season injury free.

I heard a number of them were unavailable on the weekend, so give it another few weeks before they get their best side on the ground.
OK, Saturday's win over Hawthorn was a great way to start the season and Rooster, your sticky beak at our team sheet is somewhat correct.
Three of the players you mentioned are in our team of the 1/4 century in Flowerday, Watson and N Rutherford - all did not play. Watson and Rutherford will be back this week, Flowerday will be a month away. As I said earlier, Shields is not playing for us this year, I made an error. It is actually P Harrison. This fella, signed the clearance on Fri morning when I got on here and blurted it out, but De La have 5 days to appeal and apparently are really trying hard to keep him. He's taking the week to think about it so fingers crossed for us.
Rooster, you did miss one L Dooley as a notable absentee. He came second in our senior goal kicking last year and will also be back this week.
Some good in's for us.
On to Hawthorn and their new coach. He was a superb footballer in his day but i'd have to say that from what I saw on Saturday, his footballing prowess has not transferred into coaching ability. Why you would play two centurion goal kickers in Ogge and Lauletta in the back half is beyond me. Oh and Ogge, last time I checked I didn't have "Sherrin" printed across my cheek... thanks for the black eye you knob.
One very special mention to a legend of our club in C Leeton. Congrats on your 200th game for the club. I'm glad we could celebrate it with a win.
