Cam lives in Yea and can only train odd weeks. Believe they wanted him in the squad but with his work and living situation we suggested that it would not be possible. Ability wise he certainly would be good enough but just not realistic.
I can tell you though, as rapt as I am for Hilly to be picked and as great as it is for our club, my only concern for sunday is he gets through unscathed, as we have a massive couple of games coming up and he has been playing good footy.

I guess now that the Aussies are out of the Twenty20 World Cup everyone can get back to life on the D3 forum.
Everyone should be pretty fresh after the week off, or if (like me) you were part of the Bentleigh rotation policy, 2 weeks off

Monash must get over the "Bentleigh blues" this week and a two week break may replenish their stocks. Gryphons.
SMS are running hot at the moment as are the Joccas. Will be match of the round for mine.My tip? SMS by home ground advantage.
Can't see Bentleigh's depth of talent being challenged to much this week. Sure, the Hawkers are improving but have left their run a bit late. The confines of the Rathmines quarter acre might test them but I believe Bentleigh have too much run.
SFX deserve their spot and can't see the Wickers getting near them, but stranger things have happened. They ran Bentleigh close till late in the game.Have fallen off lately.A test of depth perhaps?

I knew this would be brought up by someone with a long memory.
As has been widely discussed we've had a lot of players come to the club this year and I know where I stand.. not going to go into any sort of detail but that's it.
There were simply rotations over the last couple of games as we took on some of the lower teams in the 2s, those who had played every game have now had a rest and those who had played 0 games have now played 1 or 2. No excuses this year and I know myself that I haven't played the sort of footy to warrant a call up anyway.
Hope that's good enough for you Tiger.. that is all.

Don't be too sure about the Jocca's. They are right up to speed at the moment and are showing the form that got them into D2! The Saints are pretty cocky at home and I predict a highly spirited game. The winner will be the defence that shuts down the running forwards. Should be a cracker!!

Bentleigh by 103 points against the hapless hawks.
Maaate!!All Wrong.
West Brunswick on the road are hopeless! Monash by just enough.They have some good inclusions this week.
St Johns to cause the upset. (Upset No 1?) Flying at mile high status!
UHS VU to hold the house to a tight finish.PH crippled and rudderless right now.
Bentleigh to prove they are tough enough to win away on a tiny ground.But not by a big margin.
Although they will be mindfull that they went down to the Wicks by 90 odd points 2 seasons ago on a small ground!
SFX at home will find the wickers a real handfull considering the side the St Kilda Street boys have conjured up this week.
(Upset No 2 I'm thinking!)

Round 7 Preview:
UHS-VU over the Gryphs by 26 pts (You simply can't have the Gryphs on current form and casualties. Captain Kirk to benefit for the away side).
Westies over the Hawks by 20 pts (Home ground advantage the deciding factor, but the Hawks may play with new found confidence after their opening win. One has to only go back 9 months and they were arguably the second best side in D3).
SMS over Wicks by 35 Pts (I will not be picking Elsternwick until they show some consistency, so therefore they are likely to win. In all honesty though, the Sainters form is as strong as anyone’s and they should be far too strong).
The House over the Joc's by 22 Pts (Expect Adam Collett to fire as The Piranhas would be less than pleased with their effort of last week. Joc's will scrap all day, but find the going a little tough in the final term).
Bentleigh over SFX by 14 Pts (Certainly match of the day. SFX were mighty unlucky by all accounts not to get the chocolates last Saturday and at home will be keen to atone. However, they meet a disciplined and highly skilled Demons outfit that has too many guns. Paul Magnifico to fire again).

Got it wrong I must admit 2/5 (23/35 cumulative).
It is clear that the absence of David Burnside at Ross Gregory is hurting The House much more than many predicted. They are still a chance for finals, but their hopes are slipping fast. The Jocs continue to impress (particularly against the better sides) and cannot be taken lightly. Bentleigh & SMS continue to be our premier teams and the bottom five are playing for the relegation stakes only.
Round 8 Preview:
The House over UHS-VU by 6 Pts (Much depends on whether Burnside is back, but I'm going to give the Piranhas one more chance as a loss here would all but settle the four. Uni High were ordinary last round and their only consolation is that only one team is set to be demoted this season).
Monash over Westies by 16 Pts (Hope the Gryphons haven't believed their publicity. The club has a habit of a big letdown after a strong win. Still Nick Rutherford and Clint Mackie are in great form and should do enough to quell the Magpies).
SMS over Joc's by 11 Pts (Clear match of the day. The Joc's have surprised all and sundry this year and expect to them to play with great determination again, however, the Sainters have not put a foot wrong since April and should do enough to win a close one at home).
Demons over the Hawks by 36 Pts (Wish this could occur at AFL level! Whichever way you look at it, Bentleigh are the strongest club in this section and even though the Hawks form has been pleasing of late, they will be no match for Paul Magnifico and Chris Fidler).
SFX over Wicks by 48 Pts (Can't have the Wicks. Lock of the week, so Elsternwick will probably prove me wrong, but they are in poor form and SFX have been strong for much of the year).
