Hi Guys,

Just wanted to know if anyone knows of any teams that are struggling for numbers in the Two’s. I am not much of a Footballer just keen for a bit of a kick somewhere.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Roo - you will have to give the teams an idea of where you are from (area wise). Can tell you nikko's mob (uni high) were saying that they have ties to Arden street and Whitten Oval (TRAINING). Looking at your name and who you support they might be a chance? But what area is the key!

Hey mate. I live in Moonee Ponds and happy to play anywhere Melbourne Metro. Just want somewhere where getting a game is not a hassle and its pretty relaxed.

We are training at Whitten Oval tomorrow from 6pm - drop in and introduce yourself. We have 3 senior teams this year so need numbers.

Would be good to see you + Moonee Ponds is very close to our new sponsor pub - the Union.

Of course you are talking your team down here Wamba, but c'mon mate. The Hoes have come down from a higher division and you're tipping them to finish in the bottom 3rd of the ladder!?!?

I might as well be the first one to have a crack at the ladder from Premiers to wooden spooners based on no real knowledge, some rumours and hunches having no real knowledge of most of the sides.

Yarra Valley
St Francis
Powerhouse
Latrobe
Elsternwick
St Johns
UHSOB
Albert Park
Ivanhoe
Hawthorn
West Brunswick
Kew.

Look forward to hearing the opinions of the better informed!!!

It's lucky then that I don't know my footy Buddy!!!;)

Hello Dee Three !! Have missed you and the Hawks for a season or two.

I see your man crush is vogue again with Agelo Pace. I have dissapointing news for you...whilst you and the Hawks were having a kick in a different Div...young Angelo ran off and got himself engaged to a very lovely young lady. I know you will be crushed, but still stay in touch. Ange owns his own business and is working weekends.....but is happy to catch up with you ...for old times sake....at our games this year.

That's my take....see you later in the year. ;)

Chump.

Speaking of practice matches...has any club got some arranged?

My sources tell me Albert Park are down a bit with numbers this season

The Hapless Hawks are working their group pretty hard.

Have West Brunswick actually appointed a coach yet?

St Johns are waiting for their half forward line to get out of rehab so they can start pre season training!

Is big Angelo Pace (the Human Eclipse) lining up for Ivanhoe this season?

Stock up the canteen for when Ivanhoe come to play at your venue in 2010!

The quiet side is Latrobe. The uni boys have had a very good and quiet build up for 2010. They just MIGHT be the ones to watch.

And what about Yarra Valley and St Francis. What do they have to offer in 2010. Maybe just a long drive in the country? Or will they stand up and be counted?

And how about the House. Has Pikey set the world on fire yet?

I heard that there hasn't been much happeneing at the Postage Stamp with the Wickers. Will they be rolling out their tried and true again...maybe get Wheels out of his wheelchair to come and snipe someone again?

All to come in 2010.

Watch this space.

Still looking for some good pre-season odds...

Buddy - you know Wamba is one of the most well informed pre-season watches in the VAFA. I think he has been a little harsh on the club, but with a mass exodus from last years senior line up ( and good luck to them as they sent the club down anyway ) alot of reliance falls on youth - he may be placing a bet each way on the unknown? He knows his players....especially at the Peel Hotel

It's good to be back in the country - Chump.

Any thruth to the rumor that big Kieron Donovan will be lacing the boots up for La trobe again this year?

Will definitely be a big presence if he takes the field at any stage during the season.

It is good to have you back in the country Chump.
Yes, I would have to agree that Wamba knows quite a bit about teams in the ammos (the ones in our relevant sections of course!). Will be good to have him at our games this year, picking apart the opposition for us. :D While he does that, I'm sure the boys on the ground will do the same.

Good to have you back in town Chump.

Extended travel hasn't quelled your ability to string a few words together!!!!

Hello Wamba !!

No, all is good in the vocal capacity stakes and I am looking forward to giving them a workout in the near future as your ears bleed.

Looks like Buddy was a bit miffed at you insight into a finishing position for the Hoes this year? I tend to agree that August would be a pretty safe time for them to book a holiday :D

Maybe we are wrong and the youth of the club can give them a spark? I hear that young Disco Toogood is looking an absolute picture of fitness and has been one of the stars of the pre-season.

Getting around to see a few games this weekend?

Chump.

Ivahoe beat Panton Hill from Div 3 Northern League today. Some quality young fellas at the Hoes, and missing few certain 1's players.

Watched the latrobe seniors yesterday against a side from the divison above, unsure of they're name sorry (think they were either winner or runners up in D3 last season) Latrobe went down by a kick, but never the less looked quite sharp despite missing a key players, Ludeman and Mclean, and Van Ooi was stretchered off early in the 1st quarter. Probably should have won but for some wayward goalkick. Stay at home full-forward, Stuart Patten, was the main culprit kick about 1.5 and also had a few shots that didn't even trouble the scorers.

So Mitch. Did you manage to see some of the party tricks shown by the big bloke at FF in the early game? I heard he kicked 10 in a half and probably could've had more. Should be handy come round one I would say.

It was quite the performance... could've been more!

Good hit out for the boys on the weekend Buddy!!

Nice to give the long list of kids a run in the seniors against bigger opponents and different playing style and see how they held up. Great to see they did a very good job with a very inexperienced team that had 10 or so top players missing from the seniors due to unavailability. Good signs in the two's as well with lots of numbers and another 15 or so unavailable.

Two weeks until we find out for sure how we are traveling - but a nice positive outlook at this point in time......as do almost EVERY club in EVERY comp around the land.

The only down side was that the match report had you struggle a little bit and seriously lacking any sort of form at all. Looks like you will have to put in a bit more work old fella :D

Go Hoes !!
