Taskmaster - can you confirm or deny - that there is growing unrest at Beacy land?! - word is alot of the players are not happy with the coaches and commitee?!? -

Certainly a mighty crash for SFX a team thats played finals the last 4 years, wouldnt even make the cut in D4 finals with its current performance.

Agreed Wamba ....lucky to get away with the 4 points on Saturday as we only played one good 1/4 of football. West Brunny had outplayed us until then for sure.
With a few to return from injury and some past senior players returning to the club over the next couple of weeks the depth of the club should hopefully improve.

We have a very big month ahead playing teams that currently sit in the top 6 - so we will find out how we are going after we have played everyone once. Starting with a massive away game this week against St J's.

Chump.

We been saying that everyweek!!!! maybe we should scrap qtr time huddles.

Hey guys i was just wondering how much of a step up it is between D4 and D3.

I was playing in the EFL a couple of years ago but had a knee reconstruction and i am really keen to get back into it (I'm nearly 21)

Cheers

Every year is different but this year there doesn't seem much difference between last years D4 (top teams only) and this year's D3. La Trobe & Albert Park are aquitting themselves pretty well with close to the same teams as last year, Kew is struggling but are a shadow of the team they had in D4.

I'm sure you'll be fine playing D3.

Eddie, There is no unrest down at Beacy land!! You say the "word is" well we would invite you to come down to the club and sit down with the committee and coaches and let us know what you percieve as the "word"

I agree with you that is has been a big change from the last couple of years, we dont take this lightly. Everyone is still upbeat and staying positive, because we know we will whether the storm and come out the other end even stronger as a club.

I'll give you some reasons (Not excuses) for the poor season so far:

We are in our 4th season as a club, the first 3 seasons were great for the club, but the guys that formed the club have either retired or moved on due to work committments or starting families. But they have not left the club. They will be back

We have 5 clubs in the Casey Cardinia league within 10 kms of us. Berwick, Narre Warren, Beaconsfield, Rythdale Officer and Pakenham. All of these clubs can pay players and is a very strong league. This makes it extremly hard to recruit as we are up against the coin. Most of the really good young blokes get picked up by or continue from juniors into senior ranks with 1 of these 5 clubs. And we all know the blokes that club hop chasing coin!!! So we are already up against it, as all ammo clubs are.

As I said we have lost a few experienced heads for a year (Who will return to play). We have an extremly young list this season and they will continue with the club for many seasons to come. It is a rebuilding year for the Xmen and I guarantee you that we will be back up there in the very near future, I guarantee it!!

And on a final note, Im certain that every club in the ammos has had a very dissapointing season along the way, that is ammos for you. We are in our 4th season as a club and still establishing ourselves as a club.

We will continue to work hard and strive for that first win this year. It does not get any easier this week as we have a very impressive La Trobe outfit, but we will give it our best and they say in football, a week is a long time. Hopefully they suffer from a bit of jet lag from the trip from Bundoora to Beaconsfield. Hey every little bit counts...:p

The SFX football club is a great club and Eddie, i would invite you to come down, have a few froffies and have a chat and see for yourself that this a is a great club!!

West Brunswick vs Yarra Valley
Albert Park vs Elsternwick
Hawthorn vs Kew
Power House vs UHS-VU
St Francis Xavier vs La Trobe University
St Johns vs Ivanhoe

Whilst on the topping of frothies Taskmaster, I found it disapointing that in a game last week agaisnt SFX that no players, coaches or officials were able to make it up for a beer after the game.
Not having a dig as I chatted to a few players during the game and found them to be good blokes but felt it would have been good to have some representation. We had to have a skull off between ourselves!

I agree - Terrible effort.

"Great clubs" stick around for a sneaky beer win lose or draw......

Phil, dont know what you are on, but as I said to grinders we had a function on. We appologise.

But if you want to kick us while we are down, then go ahead, we really dont care what some keyboard warrior thinks!!!!!

We will be back!

Taskmaster has summed it all up well enough for the doubters and keyboard warriors, but book in a six pack for the next time we come around then 'grinder' :thumbsu:.

the SFX will be back and firing.

St Johns were way too good for the Hoes out at Doveton yesterday. A very professional and well-drilled team. Best team we have played so far.... Big game against Powerhouse next week.

Agreed Buddy, they were easily the best team we've played but strangely enough, I think we'll improve a lot because of that game.

Not his best day eye. He did get 5 last week and hasn't been helped by poor delivery. Hardly played at all last year so I'd expect a bigger output in terms of gaols as the year progresses.

Who is the only team to beat the Joc's? How did they do it?
Welcome back Nikko. Let me guess some answers here.
The only team to beat the Joccas. this year? Hmmm. Oh I get it, it's a trick question, UHS VU of course. But , I expect you knew that anyway. How did they do it?
Well, they just beat them,it seems (a few points). You tell us. Don't get me wrong, beating the Eumemmering mob at their patch is an achievement. But, they have won more games than you guys! See you soon.

you are a FLOG for calling the flag at this early point of the season with 10 rounds left.

Nah. Just another footy tragic.
Fair to say that the 'trobers are looking good at this time
StJohns at full strength are certainly a good oufit.Just depends upon injuries. Same could be said for a number of teams. Yarra Valley OBs are a bit of a puzzle, bit of a yo-yo side.
