Come on Table Tennis, I thought we had buried the hatchet?

Bit disappointed you didn't introduce yourself to me on Saturday after the game, I shouldn't have been hard to recognise, I'm the one from the TV who kicked 4 goals against you...

I actually wasn't there to be honest. Probably why you thought we were good blokes.

Anyway, given we're almost at the half way mark of the season, anyone want to have a crack as what the ladder will look like after round 18.

I'll go first.

UHS
Powerhouse
Cantebury
Westbourne
Richmond
Swinburne
Point Cook
La Trobe
Albert Park
South Melbourne

What is happening at La Trobe? Coaching against them last year, they looked to be close to Hawthorn and Glen Eira. This year, I expected them to be the trendsetters, but they seem to be middle level. I haven't seen them this year. I know they sometimes have big list differences from one year to the next (being a Uni side) but most of the blokes that tore us up last year seem to be still playing. Anyone have any observations to share?

I dare say they thought the premiership might have been a foregone conclusion in around January....

Still think they are pretty good side just think the other teams have stepped up a little.

The entire premise behind my diatribes was due to the the misguided opinion I had that PC were a bunch of bad blokes. And as I said, turns out I was wrong.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm still not a fan of the western suburbs, but the Point Cook lads, and Westbourne for that matter, are not bad blokes.

The Richmond Central lads on the other hand...

Care to elaborate?

CANt v's UHS (UHS too strong by 5 goals)
Rich v's Power (Can Richmond continue their winning run? House by 2 goals)
AP v's Latrobe (Latrobe by 8 goals)
PC v's SM (PC too strong at home by 6 goals)
WB v's Swin (WB by 3 goals)

Hey TT so its official and I copped heaps from you and Robos but here it is again Point Cook to WRFL Div 3 next year ammos told yesterday players last night . One has to ask why considering the incidents you and countless others have pointed out on numerous occasions.

Half accurate, WRFL Div 2. Why is a good question. Ask the current exec who I understand have been working on this for over 6 months

Incorrect rog. And if you go through my posts over the past few years i have said that its on the cards. Im a big ammos man, (more ways than one) and i feel like i am fighting a 1 man crusade against the nethandorals at the WRFL to hold people accountable for dog acts which seem frequently appearing over there. But as i am in no official role at the club, nor have i been able to get down there, i can't really shed any more light other than what you put in your post.

I also have full faith that the Democratic society we live in will mean the members of the club will decide where they play in 2018 and onwards and not one persons decision. footy clubs are there for there members.

Maybe Michael Sholly and Benny Goodman should get down the freeway and get involved. Not sure Sholly knows where the west gate is.

Snorlax will be estatic about less travel if it goes ahead

This is a shame if true. I remember their first game in the VAFA was against the Snakes. There was a big VAFA turnout, I believe I was told by Nick Bourke (or one of that era) that they expected PC to be playing in C grade in a few years time. I remember everyone in D4 being concerned with the flood of juniors pouring into their seniors, but it seems that never really eventuated. Seems the lure of money was always too strong? Now the administration has been dragged along with the players. Shame.

So powerhouse bring the snakes back down to earth !
Another loss to Latrobe ? What's going on there ?
Westbourne still with a few outs !
PC with a good win

Not a forgone conclusion. This emailed to members yesterday

The decision going to the members of the club.
There are a few with strong opinions against the VAFA but not nearly enough to get down and vote the tables in their favor.

New management at the club seem hellbent on moving to the WRFL, and becoming the 'greatest club in the west'

Maybe get new management to chat to districts see if they are having issues with their transition from the outside in it looks like they are not the strong club they used to be.Paying players sounds great in theory but creates a whole other world of problems. Not to mention the baggage that comes with WRFL. It might sound like an idea at the time but really how many incidents do the WRFL have compared to VAFA might be a bit of travel but in the ammos your ambulance subscription isnt the first thing you pay.
