All great clubmen.

Andy Height - Key position player who can surprise with his smarts.
Ryan Fort - Tap ruckmen who always gives his little guys first use.
Paul Martin - Exceptionally fit individual who can play anywhere.
Chris Hanchette - Exciting young wingman who has been crippled by injury of late.

and what about Kiz (a bar called Barry) o'dwyer

Good condition / run into the ground = contradiction

March champions in a delayed season

Would have to agree with you K2.

Looks as though a few Ivanhoe lads have jumped on the forum to try and off set the bashing they have been getting on this thread. They have been picked to finish at the lower end of the ladder, maybe even the double dip, have been struggling for numbers and now we have 5 or 6 'ones to watch'........

So if they really want to let us all know how they are going why don't they give us the good oil?

I am tipping the Ivanhoe contributors are probably some or all of the above talking themselves up. especially Old Man Andy ooops i mean River?

I wouldn't call people giving ladder positions a bashing

The saying "a champion teams beats a team of champions" is never truer than in D3 Ammo's.

Ivanhoe may have 3-4 guns, but from all indications, they fall away steeply after that.

Sides at this level can be measured by the quality of the guys picked 15-22 each week. Looking at 2006, it was the South Melbournes, Bentleighs, Elsternwicks and West Brunswicks, whose teams appeared to be fairly even across each line.

Every club has their stars, and these stars will inevitably be injured and/or unavailable at various stages through the year. The good sides will be able to cover these losses, the poor sides will fall to pieces. Ivanhoe, who seem to be the only club to this point specifically talking up 3-4guys, come across as one of the poorer clubs.

Spot On SM !!!

How good are elsternwick?? We (Skye) play them on Sunday, who are there guns and what positions so they play, I'll have a look at them and report back??

E Wick vary like most, could be anything at this stage.
Few notables over the past couple of years:

Mason, no. 32 either CHB or ruck. Loose wire or two there, when it shorts out he is like teats on a steer.
Massive ruckman about 9 foot tall - maybe no 28? Goes by the name of Jack.
Wiry bloke on HBF, no 3. Can surprise with his smarts, not unlike a chap from Ivanhoe...

Let us know how they fare if you can. Cheers

I wouldn't be so sure these comments are coming from Ivanhoe players themselves. Anyone could look up the best players from one of the ten thousand spare Amateur Footballers from last year, work out their first names and then run up a black and white veneer to stir the pot on behalf of OIA.

Thanks for explaining to me how the grade works

Nice try knackers but insulting your teammeates and refering to your team in the third person won't throw too many of us off.

Almost anyone could surprise you with their smarts

does anyone have any practice matches this week that could shed light on how teams are looking for the early rounds? Should be a frosty reception for West Brunswick when they tackle Ivanhoe... I hear that there is going to be a Richard Peoples medal awarded to best on ground?

Can anybody tell me about these names?

Andy Height - Not really a regular senior player, but hopefully he can step up this year and show alot of people that he can play.
Ryan Fort - Developing young ruckman who's due for a big season.
Paul Martin - Didn't play much last year, but an axe of a man who always runs in a straight line, don't get in his way!
Chris Hanchette - If not injured again expect a big season from him, good young player who's very dangerous & quick.
Steve Greame - Hard in & under who always gives his all every week.
What about Kiz (a bar called barry) O'dwyer - Potential match winner, but sometimes goes missing with confidence. Hopefully he put it together week after week for the Hoes to go well this season.

As for a prediciton I'd say they would be there abouts contending for a finals spot? 4th, 5th or 6th.:thumbsu:
