Ok my tips, with no input from my Guru as he is on leave...

Monash just over Swinny by 8 points to make it 2 in a row
Ivanhoe over Chimp's mob by 15 points (how many from your boy Edwards this week Chimp??)
La Trobe over West B by 21 points to stay third
OW easily over Hawks by 35 points (even in second gear)
Wicks over Kew by 17 points because it's south of the Yarra.

More injuries in the Ivanhoe 'camp' ( good summary of OMR ) and the worst defensive record in the comp - either poor defenders or lack of support - means that Eddo to walk away with a lazy 7 - even in the rain.

Ivanhoe's only chance to win this week would be - they don't choke, don't run out of legs, stay switched on, don't have the umpires against them and get through a game with less than 4 injuries by half time!!! - or any other excuse/reason that they could dream up.

may the best team win - and the banter continue :D

After seeing this comment I checked the ladder and noticed that The House have the worst percentage in the league.
Is this a case of throwing stones in glass house's for the house?

Valid point Snorkel - worst % - Yes.

Points against - the point I was making - no.

But, I may have to pull up on the throwing of stones - big game this one!

3 out of 5 for myself last round. I mean who could've predicted 2 draws!

Grand Total of 16/25

Monash over Swinny by 13 pts (Gryphs will be a little harder at the footy)
Ivanhoe over House by 35 Pts (Hoes purring at the minute!)
Latrobe over Wests by 22 Pts (Can't see westies making the 4 from here)
Westbourne by 45 over Hawks (Hawthorn are over-rated)
Kew by 16 Over Wicks (Kew are better than you think at home)

For my hot tip this weekend get on David Neilson to win the Miss Universe in Reverse title down at Hoe Park for the 2nd time in the comps history and the only man to go back to back............ oh and the boys to overcome the house in style.

Tough Ask, but I think he can do. although he is very lucky that one Patty Veitch is still protecting our borders. That man was a sculpture.

First Fluffy Ducks and now cross dressing - interesting club you play with OMR?

LD, some say that Pat 'the body' Veitch may be competing via video link up from some undisclosed location????:thumbsu:

How has Higgins from Swinny been travelling this year? I see he has kicked a bag of 5 and 7 already, no doubt is he the key to Swinburnes year, and hopes to survive.

How have teams fared vs him this year? Is it a matter of stopping the supply to him or stopping him directly.

Thoughts?

Adrian 'john rambo' Kirkland cld be another suprise packet of the evening, some say that he has had the last few wekends away from his favourite nite spot ' a bar called barrys ' to prepare himself physically, mentally and emotionally. He is looking to take the title of his close friend and back to back hopefull, his major drawcard is his willingness to 'nude up' at any chance to thrill the ladies with his rather large digit, some say he even has a theme song that he will enter that cat walk to????? He is trained by the legendary 'Cumbo' and is a crowd favourite, an outside chance.

A few more to keep an eye on 2mw nite will be Dan 'magic hands' adams, this guy brings with him years of experience as a child magazine model from his country boy days down sale way. Rumour has it that dan starred in a couple of sports power and target country magazines. He also has a tribe of fine ladies that follow his every move, this was evident at the 12 pubs of christmas where he was followed from pub to pub by some of melbournes finest.

Jimmy ' have you seen my abs and pecs' Collins could be the man to watch, jimmy is sporting one of the finest riggs down at hoe park and some say he is a monty to win. However sources close to him say that some females may be swayed to vote elsewhere if 'abs' gets to much of his gear off. I feel that this comp is well in reach for the big guy, its just a matter of wait and see.

Joe 'this is where i F*%k the ladies' Mazzocca is the dark horse of the event, with his fresh new haircut he is odds on to gather new support from an adoring crowd of fillies. we all hope that joey does'nt get injured or his face marked during the game 2mw as this could spell the end of an era in this competition. Joe is the only man to enter all of the events in the comps history and never take home the bacon. Good Luck Iron fist.

More updates to come, people who are'nt aligned with Ivanhoe probably have no idea what im talking about. Anyway..........

I went out to Ivanhoe Park to watch the Hoes for the second time this season.

If I was OW or the Hawks or the Wickers, I wouldn't be too concerned with what I saw yesterday. They played about 20 minutes of football against a second string Power house side and ran out of legs in the second half sharing the spoils after half time when Power House lifted their work rate.

They didn't really look that fit (and it has shown over the last 2 weeks) and looked very slow after half time. They move the ball quickly but actually are quite slow with the exception of the tall wingman they have.

I have seen Elsternwick, Hawthorn and OW this season and they are all streets better than what Ivanhoe have to offer.

I watched Ivanhoe smashed by Kew in Round 2 and their second half yesterday was in that vein.

As for "the House", they were shocking in the first half but competitive in the second. They must have been given a right rev up by their coach during the break.

yeah powerhouse got smashed in the second quarter. when they started to concentrate on the footy in the third they did well, but ran out of legs in the last. they just cried all day to the umpires.

Hey Champ - you seem to have a fair bit to say! Excuse my D3 ignorance but which club are you with? Do you still (or ever) play?

Ugly

Hey Ugly, just a very ordinary player from a many years back. Live around the area and know a few of the players from the local clubs. May have even had a game against you a long way back - congrats on the big game on the weekend fella !!!

I am a little 'full' today as I have to eat some humble pie - my good mate Old Man River will be in touch at some stage today no doubt as his mob got up on the weekend. Maybe the hoes can sneak into 4th?

Now back up to your D1 thread my friend !!;)

Whats the story with the Latrobe vs WB match?

The VAFA website has Latrobe winning, but have awarded the points to WB. Did Latrobe play an unregistered player, or is it just an administrative error on the website?

Are Champ my old friend, let me tell you that the beers and jagers tasted sweet down at Hoe Park on sat nite after moving past the house. Well done to all the boys who competed in the Miss Universe in Reverse to, it was a great nite and the right man took home the spoils too.

And to just a reminder to whoever wrote that the wickers and Hawthorn shouldnt be worried about Ivanhoe, just a reminder that we got over 1 side and lost our brains in the other game after smashing them in the 1st half.

No problem OMR - to the winners go the spoils - Well done to your boys.....any room left on that bus? Might jump on it as you guys look to be a little more competitive than I first thought. I think you still have a way to go re OW, E-Wicks and Hawks ( and la trobe moving along under a radar at the moment) - but competitive you will be!!
