Can anybody tell me about these names?

Andy Height - Not really a regular senior player, but hopefully he can step up this year and show alot of people that he can play.
Ryan Fort - Developing young ruckman who's due for a big season.
Paul Martin - Didn't play much last year, but an axe of a man who always runs in a straight line, don't get in his way!
Chris Hanchette - If not injured again expect a big season from him, good young player who's very dangerous & quick.
Steve Greame - Hard in & under who always gives his all every week.
What about Kiz (a bar called barry) O'dwyer - Potential match winner, but sometimes goes missing with confidence. Hopefully he put it together week after week for the Hoes to go well this season.

As for a prediciton I'd say they would be there abouts contending for a finals spot? 4th, 5th or 6th.:thumbsu:

Thanks for that coach H.

Can you also clear up if they have lost a few. Rumors abound that they are very low on numbers? I have only had pub talk about it and that is to always be treated with caution.

Still think they will struggle against WB, OW, Kew, Elst and La trobe- and who really knows what Powerhouse have picked up ? lucky not to double dip for mind.

does anyone have any practice matches this week that could shed light on how teams are looking for the early rounds? Should be a frosty reception for West Brunswick when they tackle Ivanhoe... I hear that there is going to be a Richard Peoples medal awarded to best on ground?

You have a bit of mail on Ivanhoe OMR - what's your connection?

coach Hollywood u old clown........ Hope the turtles are shaping up, we havent had your stella imput in this thread for a while.

OW had a practice match against Gordon from the Central Highlands League near Ballarat, ran out eventual winners by 5 or 6 goals. Hard to take much out of it with so many senior players out. However the form of the full forward was something to consider. hopefully it wasn't a once off!

Lets see how he goes this weekend against West Footscray!

Looked like a massive turn out for OW last week, must have been all of 10 guys out there. Cant be good this close to the season.

Only the 4-5 to the Turtles & I think the Captain Harris has left to Fitzroy Reds? Not sure of anyone else and apparently a few have returned. Alot of blokes played senior footy last year that will hopefully be better from the experience, so they shouldn't be as bad as most are saying IMO.

Were the 4-5 to the turtles key players for them? If so can they cover them with guys from last years team?

I heard that luke 'dogga' kennel was a massive loss for the Hoes this year, was he one of the ones you were talking about CH? Who are the Key departures to the turtles?

Well its that time again for grand predictions

Old Westborne will be the premiers for D3 and promoted next year.

They have a new starting midfield this year which doesn't even have room for last years B&F. Add to that a new full forward and the fact they have been recruiting heavy at Stoney's its theirs for the taking.

Since I'm making such grand predictions you will here another one... The league's B&F will come from that new midfield...

Rumour has it they also have 'Wolfgang' back.... lucky them:thumbsu:

where was this G-train? was it on the training track or was it for the practice match? 10 guys would be worrying signs!

Probably neither. He might have turned up early for a training session at Warringa and seen the Mambourin Tigers running about.

I've seen plenty of blokes at training and you couldn't move at Thomas Carr during the praccy matches against Sunshine Heights. Standing room only.

Tigernuts

I watched their game on Saturday against Gordon , who by the way will not win a game in the CHFL this year, very inexperienced side with no backline whatesoever, mick martyn the worst kick in the afl would have kicked a 100 against that opposition

With a fair few senior players to come back into the backline i'm sure OW won't be hitting the panic button on saturdays performance.

Trigirl - was Gordon at full strenght or do they have a couple to come back in. And what were your thoughts on OW's recruit at Full Forward?

Why isn't horsborough playing FF this year. i know he played a few games up the ground last year. but surely a bloke who is capable of kicking 100 goals in a season should be spending most of the year at FF. is he playing??

Gordon were missing 4 or 5 of which two are very good onballers, I thought the full forward was lazy early but once he got into gear certainly found ythe football, number 4 was good for them through the midfield, although all their side were not very hard at the ball, like to push through one wing and run it. By the way Gladman was missing from Gordon, 30 possessions a game onballer, very classy although getting on in years

It should be noted that Gordon, i think won one game last year, have not recruited and lost various players from last year, average age of seniors 21, unheard of in the CHFL, the top side Waubra will beat them by thirty at half pace

Who said anything about "key departures" OMR?? And no Dogga wasn't one of those who will be playing at the turtles as I have mentioned before they are Myself, Matt McPherson, Tyson Powell & Ben Garrard along with James Stirton but he probably won't play at all this year. They're the 4-5 players I was talking about. You are obviously from the Hoes OMR hiding behind your alias as so, I just hope you're not Andy Height talking yourself up as I doubt you could back it up on the field?? But I'd also be happy to see you prove me wrong though??;) Good luck for the season ahead.

Thats not a nice thing to say coach hollywood, I hope Andy height is reading this thread. I was under the assumption that stirton wasnt joining you ( pub talk)????? How is the fitness going this year?

Know a bit about Horsburgh... I think his days as a FF are gone.... could be club 18 for him this year!!!
