Yes its about time all those making accusations about payments either backed them up (with proof) or apologised for soiling the reputation of a club that out recruited theirs!
It sounds like nothing more than sour grapes from players and teams who can't handle losing (or more accurately getting thumped) by a more talented team.

For what its worth i would say out of the 4 teams I rate highest only 1 is currently in the 4.
Hawthorn, Powerhouse, Elsternwick (b4 all the injuries) and Monash have all had the biggest crack at us!
It astounds me that aside from Hawthorn the other teams havent won more games?

Can La Trobe provide any more info? From what I read on the VAFA website, he wrestled with the team manager and spectators!
If that is the only penalty you get for that, I'm sure other players won't sweat too if they decided to follow the same behavior.
Was the behavior of the La Trobe people of any influence to the insignificant punishment?
Doesn't surprise me in some respect as Hawthorn has been a bit of a favorite at VAFA headquarters. They've virtually gotten away with worse in the past.
As said a couple of days ago - why didn't Elsterwick's player get anything for much the same offence. Full umpire evidence. Evidence from players on both sides and a full admission from the player.
Not excusing what happened in this instance, but for the tribunal to operate properly, it has to be consistent. Isn't that what we all expect from umpires?

Ah seems like the tribuneral are now starting to follow suit of the umpire, ultra in-consistant.
This is the issue at the moment with the ammos, inconsistancy everywhere.
Whats football coming to, when you get 5 for swearing and you get 2 for jumping the fence and having a crack.
5 weeks for language.

Not my umpire buddy - I don't have any affiliation to Hawthorn. As I have said before, I see a fair few of their games as I live not far from their ground.
As for the umpire being a cheat - you didn't see what happened, he did. Are you really in any position to judge? I saw him send off players from both sides last week - how come no one pointed that out here? More frees paid to Ivanhoe too. Funny that people seem to have a crack at the ump when they lose isn't it.
It's small minded fools like you that make it hard for clubs to get people to umpire. Have you ever put your hand up to do it?

You cannot be serious lucky7. THe Hawthorn reserves umpire barely paid a freekick to Ivanhoe all day (as usual), only sent off his own Ruckman because he threw about 8 punches (yet I notice his name wasn't up at the tribunal?) & sent Ivanhoe player off 3 times (one for arguing, not even abusive arguing). He turned a blind eye to a punch & elbow that left an Ivanhoe player with a broken nose. He also, just like last time threatened to put the whole team on report, and threatened to suspend one of our seniors players who spoke to him at half time.
Well Hawthorn reserves are screwed when it comes to finals. They will be bundled out in straight sets if all this is true.
