I think the western ring road is softer under foot than garvey oval

As a spectator on Sunday the ground did look a little hard OMR. Any plans for some water to be pumped into it?

As for the wind - agree - it was trying conditions for sure, but some reasonable footy played between La trobe and Ivanhoe.

The conditions were a picture on Saturday. Bundoora rewarded the top 2 sides with a blue sky and no wind!

Hope Hawthorn and Ivanhoe belt crap out of each other this weekend coming!:p

Th Uni boys are very dissapointed they will not get a go at Hawthorn this week, but agree they were out played in the second half.

Word is Hawthorn had a few out - as did you at OW. And chance for some returns to either team that you are aware of?

C'mon Patty, surely it wouldn't matter if these two had a weeks rest and picked the best 22 for a combined team, they still wouldn't come close to your boys.....would they? Can you hear the chanting coming from down at the Boulevard, I think they are coming, and my bandwagon is filling up quick....

Get a grip Eddie. Old Westbourne will easily defeat any team they met in two weeks time. As for Ivanhoe - they haven't beaten Hawthorn this year yet, so far from a done deal on Saturday. Hawthorn and Ivanhoe are playing for promotion only.
and the boobie prize..............you get to play Old Westbourne next year in D2.

It needs more than water........

Hawthorn were missing Collins, Ogge, and one of thier key defenders. OW still missing Connors, Smith, and Hudson.

Yeah, the word around on Sunday was the above and that they may not play again this year?

Last time LaTrobe played Hawthorn Collins did not play and it made a big dent in their structure. I would imagine they are hopeful of his return this week against Ivanhoe.

Ogge will play this week, Collins won't unless he can fly back from overseas in time. May play in Grand Final if they make it.

anyway whats people thoughts on team of the year???

suggestions?

chump you still sticking with your team, i did like the look of that team.

Connors, Smith and Hudson would have all been available if needed this weekend, but as they enjoy the weekend off they will be itching to get out there for the big one... Dilema's at the selection table one would think!

Where was Champ yesterday? Was he on Latrobe's Mad Monday?;)

Nice try Crazy - and I wish I was on the juice on Monday - but unfortunately work saw me in Brisbane for a few days.

As for Lions Den - Hopefully Pace can slot his 100th goal this year. It would be a fantastic effort. I won't run onto the ground, but will ask for a photo with him to put alongside my Eddoooo!!! and Higgooo!! versions I have on my bedside table.

ETE - talking bandwagons again - you are on the wrong one my friend.

Swan Song - back to the c-grade thread for you mate - trouble maker.

OMR - good to see you again - well done on the win - and I agree the ground was rock hard on the weekend. It does need some water.l

Patty O and Oldtimer look to have a difference of opinion on 'who will play'? ( Patty - It won't matter, just make room for some silver out west)

Collins O/S for a mates wedding - with a rumor the Hawks have offered to pay for a flight home to play in the GF when they make it?

and Western asking for teams of the year .............what a big two days on Big Footy !!!
