Ruck, not having seen D4 but having played B all the way to D3, I can say that the top sides in D3 would comfortably beat B Grade Reserves teams. The difference between the bottom sides in D1 and the top in D3 is very small. The biggest difference that I have experienced is the drop from B - C and C - D1. When I came to D3 a couple of years ago I was extremely suprised at the standard of footy.

Last year in the final praccy match St Francis (Club 1) beat Whitefriars (Club 2) by about 100 points, then Whitefriars ended up playing off in the granny I think and St Francis only finished 4th in Clubbies 1.

Whitefriars were in Clubbies 3.

Kinda agree with you OldTimer - Having played A - D1 and seeing plenty of D4 footy the last 5 years, I would suspect the top couple of D4 sides would probably beat 95% of C grade ressies sides and some of the B grade ressie sides..and yes, the drop from B - C is the biggest one IMO.

As for the hypothetical, I played B grade a few years ago (15) and the ressies was a pretty good standard. Not quite at D4 seniors nowadays.........We also had Club 18's which was for those in wheelchairs and on crutches back then. Now they say its better than D4????? No it aint. Just ask Mt Lilydale!

Mt Lilydale were premiers in clubies 2 in 06, D4 standard is much better, harder at it and more consistant 4 qtr footy is played.
Mt Lilydale adapted well to the change with almost the same team, less the B&F of that year and with basically a new CHB, R/R & Ruck and one or two others. Just struggled with numbers in the two's.
 
This is completely unrelated to anything ever said on Bigfooty, but google "Beastman vs Skeletor" by CKY (camp kill yourself) and watch the music video. It is the funniest thing i have ever seen. (apart from me trying to kick a footy)

seen him play is super fast and can kick long goals does go missing defensively a fair bit doubt that would be a factor though in lowly d4
would definately be a super player and would be in the top 3 players of any side in the comp

I've never seen him play. He hasn't played in D4 for 4 years.
 
Clearly West Brunswick are favourites, everything else is up in the air... though I'm not hearing much good come out of Bulleen.

I'd love to get around and have a look at everyones training sessions :)

Bulleen is going well. We're just not making any outlandish predictions as we've noticed what's happened to Richmond over the last few years every time Terry Wallace opens his mouth.

The Cobras will be a better team than last year. Of that we are 100% certain. How great the improvement; we'll work that out after a few games of footy, rather than a few training sessions.
