Rooster I'll take the centrals in to the sharks....bit of value there I reckon.

If Richmond have done some goal kicking drills at training this week they are sure thinbgs a $1.70!!

Also don't be underestimating the Sharks at home, they've got arguably the toughest draw in the comp. Still think they have the ingredients to be a contender when they string four quarters together, got some great players.....Of the teams we've played I would put there captain along with no 5 from Syndal as the two most dominant midfielders we've played against (still yet to play many teams) and their full forward is also a star, they'll come good.

Having said that, think that the mountain men might like the smaller ground out at whitehorse....should be a good game.

Well, I am sure you will all be pleased that the SFXOC FC has put the taskmaster on notice and also put a media ban on me. If I stuff up again I will be sacked. The leadership group had a meeting and I am now on last chance basis. (it is the Fev rule). I over stepped the line and my comments and views on this forum were deemed to be un satisfactory.

So the forum is all yours , you will not hear from the master again.

Well it's taken a while but I'm finally convinced that no matter what an umpire does they are in a no win situation,I came on to the forum and identified myself in the hope of getting some balance but I now have learnt that will not happen so I am signing off,why? the white line hysteria from yesterday,I turned around to follow the ball and it was pushed the other way,I had my back turned for all of 1 sec.before I picked it up again,abuse from all quarters,sorry for being human fellas and not having eyes in the back of my head;One thick set bloke in the forward line went off tap and said "he wanted frees paid to both sides"well well,that same bloke got a free for having his jumper held in the forward pocket,in the other forward pocket he was given a free when he correctly tackled an opponent who had had prior opportunity,yet another free to him just outside the goal square when he was taken high, and he kicked a goal,by the way all of these fress were paid by me!you know the umpire who was not paying frees to both sides.
You might also like to know that the umpires were real mongrels yesterday,
before the game a player came to the umpire's room with a doctors certificate to wear a glove,this is, under the rules not allowed,he must have a VAFA letter,the umpires specifically do have the authority to allow gloves,but I rang VAFA and got him permission to play on the basis that he got the letter for next week, just as the game was to start I got my partner to hold the ball as one of the goal umpires did not have a white coat,I ran to their bench and asked one of their officials to go to the umpires room and get MY WHITE COAT for their goal umpire so they would not be fined.No umpire escorts from either side,what did we do,ping um,nuh,we approached officials at 3/4 time and gave them the heads up but still no escort from one side,Yeh we were real mongrels yesterday.

Saw West Brunswick in the pre season. They have 8 blokes 6'4 and above. If you are small you will not get near them. Kew are a good side going by their 10 goal win over albert park who beat the unbeaten Richmond yesterday. South Mornington have beaten the bottom 3 sides. We will know more when mount Lilydale and St Francis play west brunswick. Kews 8 goal loss may not be that bad in comparrison. D4 is definitely heating up! Here are my tips for next week.

North Brunswick vs Bulleen - BC by 5 Goals
South Mornington vs Eley Park - EP by 2 Goals
My Lilydale vs Box Hill North - BHN by 1 point
Albert Park vs West Brunswick - WB by 8 Goals
St Francis Xavier vs Richmond Central - SFX by 2 Goals
Kew vs Syndal Tally Ho - Kew by 8 Goals

I'm now off the Mt Lillydale wagon after doing more reseaarch on the comp this year. WB seem to be the bench mark but this is D4 not the AFL football so i'm sure they will get knocked off at some point during the year before their heads get a little top heavy.

Heads up Centrals. There are finals spots up for grabs. It is clear that WB, Kew and SFX will fill the major rungs on the ladder and a battle between AP, Mt Lilydale and Centrals for the other two. SM to drop off shortly when facing reasonable opposition and BH no forward progress from last season.
SFX can further gauge their standing next week against Centrals, whilst the other match of significance is AP welcoming WB. Mountainmen would need to convincingly beat BH to ping for a top five berth with Rhodes and company hitting form.

Smiggins - bet you've never umpired a game in your life. I've seen plenty of Tuggers decisions that I've disagreed with, but he has my respect for walking out there & giving it a crack. Much more difficult than coming in here throwing spears.

Umpires get plenty wrong, but they also get a lot more right than wrong.

Not a love....a respect.

It is great to see that so many who play have obviously NEVER made a wrong decision in their playing days (Gone for goal instead of centering the ball, poor kicks, bad handballs etc etc)

There is no difference between an umpire and player when it comes to making decisions and for CLUBS to dis-respect the umpires shows a dis-respect for our game and league. WHOEVER the club is that didn't give an escort, stuffed around with correct umpire uniforms etc should be disciplined, and harshly. The last thing we need is umpires dropping off because of stupidity.

THAT crap would never happen at centrals or any other decent club. Poor form shown by whomever.....

As for Ab Park ressies.....can anyone tell me how as a coach you can have 19 players on the ground and call that a mistake????

Surely its not possible..................
