Have you thought of going into politics waz?Right... So I put this to the committee at Box Hill North.... You design and purchase a trophy named after whoever is deemed worthy from your establishment. And we do the same. Yours can be presented to the winner of the seniors, and ours for the reserves.
Or... We just have one for the seniors and leave the darn reserves out of it![]()
Umpires not a worry for your boys Mark. You are killing them at the moment.![]()
The Pro was on the cobra website and found this gem.
The boys were incredibly unlucky. If you consider the unavailability of important players, the many injuries suffered during the match, the fact that West Brunswick were playing on the counter attack for the entire first half AND the fact that a three pronged tall (Fradkin, Conn and Daley) attack is incredibly unsuited in the dismal conditions endured on Saturday... the result was extremely encouraging.
The margin of 31 points at half time was very unflattering.
I thought the opposition played second to the ball tactics, with many of their midfielders and flankers playing around the periphery of the contests and backing the one or two very talented West Brunswick blokes to poach the footy off us and then dish the hands. Perhaps such tactics were exclusive to the conditions, and not a consistent feature of their gameplan, BUT, if they try this dishonest brand of football which is heavily reliant on the one or two talented footballers next time they'll be in a bit of trouble. Regardless of the implementation of that particular tactic, I think that we're a massive chance at home next time.
According to this I believe the Cobras will win the flag. West Brunswick's dishonest play will get them no where (currently 6-0).
And this one also.
Can't disagree. Seemed like we really fell away across half forward due to our reliance on the three prong set up. Conditions just didn't suit. When they weren't skirting the perimeter they punsihed us on the counter-attack. With a full side in for the home leg I think we will be far more competitive.
Why on earth do you think it is nessasary to post things that are written on a teams own forum and intended for the players and supporters of that team on big footy. Besides that if you had paid spent some time viewing all the other dripple thats on the forum u would have realised that both those posts were from 1st time posters, which, for the 1st poster anyway, were unable to find the identy of at training last night.
To me they seam to be written very much a like, have simular display pics which lends me to beleive they may have been written by the same person and seeing you happened to post them on here very shortly after the second post i beleive they may have been written to cause a bit of sh*t and may have infact been written by yourself as a bit of a sh*t stirr.

KC you state that you know the identity of the 2nd poster, so how could the touring pro write both articles on your web site. If you do have a club forum then obviously the editor of the site needs to monitor what is siad and what isn't. I know that 1 article that was written late on Sat night was taken off by Sun morning in relation to the reserves. The same should occur for these articles which in kind is having a go at an opposition club.
By having a forum you are waiting for trouble, i know it is meant for club users but remember that others will get on a cause trouble. You guys have worked too hard in the off season for a few unknowns to get on and cause trouble.

Maybe the Cobras should adopt the police state policies that Albert Park and Eley "Red Flag" Park have enforced.
This is quite often a good idea. We at Kew fell into the trap of talking ourselves up last pre season and were picked off by fellow posters (Mark Harvey in particular). Our coach put a ban on and we went through the season 1 - 17.
Blokes get passionate about their clubs and want to post the good things that are happening and the improvements being made. Sometimes it best not to say much at all.
Crazy out.
where do u get ur info from pietro you muppet? eley park have not enforced such a rule!Maybe the Cobras should adopt the police state policies that Albert Park and Eley "Red Flag" Park have enforced. You don't see renegades from those clubs ranting on Big Footy!

Every club should talk themselves up. The club has worked incredibly hard to rebuild and the last thing we would want would be for blokes to drop their heads after a loss to an admittedly excellent team. The posters are obviously trying to help the team regroup and get the confidence up again for this week's game. You've taken those comments out of context and you've made your own conclusions regarding the intent.
If it's on a publicly accessible website then it is "published" and for the consumption of the general public... including those who post on Big Footy.
There seems to be a little confusion about who you think is responsible. You have suggested you know the author of the second post, but not the first, and then you think they are from the same person, and then you suggest it's a set-up from The Touring Pro. Getting a little bit flustered there, King?

And I disagree with your comment that every club should talk themselves up. Read what crazy has posted this morning. There are plenty of examples of that happening elsewhere - eg St Mary's last year?
This is the exact reason why people shouldn't cut and paste whats been said into a differant forum, give someone a chance to read it and delete it before going and putting it somewhere else.
As with most things in life, posting about YOUR club should try and balance the urge to spruik the positives, with the understanding that people on a public forum will do everything in their power to misrepresent whatever is being written. See note in the Herald Sun this morning about bloggers & blogging in general.
A clubs website is still an open forum, and statements made on those forums can still be obtained an used in other public forums.
The facts:
Bulleen had some guys missing on the weekend, West Brunswick probably did too.
Maybe the wet weather didn't suit us - possibly didn't suit West either.
Play the game again & we'd hope to give a better account of ourselves, maybe there was some stuff that West Brunswick thought they could do better as well.
I made the comment last week that win or push West Brunswick to a goal or two & the competition would need to give us some respect. Simple outcome; we didn't & now Bulleen needs to string together some more wins, hopefully starting this week against Mt Lilydale, before anyone would take us seriously as a side in finals contention.
The ony thing that I can say is that the Bulleen club is still working very hard to improve & last weekend was just one game in a long season. The outcome may not have gone our way, but there's still a lot of work to be done.
Go Cobras.![]()
Its a shame that there are people (possibly) within the club - showing it no respect.
