A rumour in the VAFA circles is that Yooralla will have a team joining D4 in 2009.... Early flag favourites at Sports Bet....

would SFX + MtLily would be 6 - 4 by your tips? or 7 - 3?
They shouldn't have played one less game.
Are you suggesting it's a 2 horse race?

I wouldn't write SFX off. They'll be hurting after a narrow loss to AP and on their home paddock against a WB side who haven't really travelled all year it may be the perfect opportunity to cut Sudholz's mob back down to our size.

Could be WB 9 - 1, Kew 9 - 1, SFX 8 - 2,
That would throw the proverbial cat among the flying rats.
 
am i right in thinking there is no difference between finishing 2nd or 3rd in a top 5 finals series, except unless you dont like wearing white shorts.

Having seen both teams this year I think WB height will trouble St Francis. They are very tall up front with 4 blokes over the 6'4 mark.

There are already a couple of teams full of *******s in the vafa.. umpires are well repesented too.. "He cant run or kick the way i doooo, but we showed him hooooow, Vafas people helping people achieve"

not sure, last year if second place won its first game it was straight into the gf, maybe there is a week break if u win, then play another final and if u win straight in?

Wk2 semis
Maj 1vwin of qual- winner through to granny Min loser of qual v winner of elim- loser out
Wk3 Prelim
loser of Maj vs winner of minor semi- loser out
Wk 4 GF
Winner takes all
if each match is a 50-50 contest then
1st has a 37.5% chance of winning
2nd and 3rd each have a 25% chance
4th and 5th have a 6.25% chance of winning

Names?
How big are their ruckmen RM? Surely they have the option of resting a tall bloke forward? With a 6'2" FF and a 9' fire-breathing CHF and a ruckman that would make a pretty big front 6.

If there are 4 over 6'4" then surely poor weather would be a negative.
Showers forecast between now and Monday down Beaconsfield way. Could trouble a big forward-line if the ball is slippery or on the deck.

SFX's midfield have been pretty good this year and won't mind some good hard-bodied footy in the wet!
