The lads at South Mornington had a fair old crack at poaching our trainers on Saturday. When I left it was the two girls surrounded by 15 oppositiion players! Good work girls ;)

From what i remember last year Was, i cant blame them, ur trainers were smokin! I apologise if im talking about someones Mrs, but id love to poach that Indian girl.. Kepp the other teams well away from them!

Ha ha....

This Indian girl left last year, but our new trainers are certainly pleasant on the eyes......and very good trainers too!

Looks like your coming to Central-Land next year Nikko? We can offer you 2 for 1 rub downs and well placed tape.

You are kidding, South Morang with their current side would definitely finish top 5 but to say they would win by 20
goals is a bit silly!!!

Probably best to watch the standard of footy before commenting. Good NFL div 2 (macleod, thomastown, whittlesea) would be about low d1 to middle d2 standard.

West Heidelberg still wouldn't win a game in d4!!

Watched Thomastown (v Reservoir) last week Old Timer and will be watching them this weekend v Macleod. Would have to say they would be a top D1 - middle C grade side. Too good for D2 and many of the D1 sides.

South Morang..well top 5 side no doubt in D4. Don't think too many would stay around for it though.

Interesting thing is there are stronger rumours in the Northern League circles about a couple of Ammos sides joing them! Ivanhoe being one. Could be an interesting off-season.

You're a couple of months behind on those rumours Dee, can tell you Ivanhoe are going nowhere, except hopefully up to D1 in the near future!!

That's a great rumour Jimmy Jab. (Middle name isn't Pooh I hope)

They would certainly be competitive, and the improvement shown by the snakes with 3 ex NFL (Diamond Creek) guys is enough to suggest you may be right.

However, Sth Morang have never been a NFL / DVFL power anyhow, and I am sure a heap of players would drop off and play at other NFL / local clubs. It is important to remembet that these guys are not used to travel, no player payments, etc etc..........

Very interesting

No one has asked the most inmportant question of the week.

Who did Ruck Machine destroy last saturday?

perhaps he bought a ticket to browntown and destroyed jimmy??

South Mornington to South Morang longest trip in local footy i would think.

You obviously haven't been to south morang - sth morang to anywhere is the longest trip
sitting in your car waiting for the lights to change seems to take forever when your in south morang......

Um.... Did anyone else train in hail (??) tonight! What a ripper! I love a good rainy training session.

We had also hired some "light entertainment" for the evening, but apparently the weather kept them from making the appointment.... pity that!

KB was a swamp by the end of the night... I've never seen it so wet, which is a blessing really as the center square was getting towards Kews rough standard. If this rain holds up it will be a fun game to play and watch come saturday!

To both sides I suggest bringing the big bodies and the heavy legs... There probably wont be much use for speedy wingman and flankers :)

Oh and bye the way... thanks to oc37 for mentioning Guthers and Goon in the record this week.... There is another huge game coming up for a well known centrals player next week, provided he's healthy...touch wood!

RC v Kew - Kew by between 7 and 11 goals
MtL v NB - Mt Lilydale by 87 points
AP v SM - AP by lots depending on which SM turns up
SFX v EP - SFX by 30 points. EP to push them in patches.

Reserves
BHN
STH
Kew
North Bruns in a close one
AP by a street

RC v Kew - Kew by 44 points - No 'Fish' No Centrals
MtL v NB - Mountain men at home in close game - Mtl by 9 points
AP v SM - AP by 72 points to admend last round loss.
SFX v EP - Both teams in good form but the class of SFX will see them 63 points ahead due to the class of the midfeild.

BHN v WB - WB by 90 points and really gearing up for finals footy.
STH v BC - Syndal are tough at home - but Bulleen were good last week - Cobras 21pts.
RC v Kew - Kew by 55pts and another team who will be firing right up before finals..
MtL v NB - Tough task for North Brunny at this stage of the year...hope to fall in by a couple of goals in a good contest like last time.
AP v SM - Good time of the year to get South Mornington playing away. Falcons by well over a hundred.
SFX v EP - The sharks will push SFX all the way. By the Beaconsfield lot will do enough and get in by 10 points.

Lock em in.

West by plenty
Bulleen By 4 goals
Kew
Mount Lilydale by 10 goals
Ap by 100 + - Weather may stop them from being the fourth team to kick 200 against South Mornington (has a there been a worse team away from home?)
St Francis by 70 points

No worries Waz- while we are talking record- any thoughts on Bp and HBF from anyone?

It is also time to get some full team of the year nominations- we have had two so far.

8 games i think will be my minimum- comments on this too please

Which club has the best brother combination getting around in D4......

Ackland at NB?
Penny at BHN?
Finkemeyer at MTL?
Pullka at MTL?

are there others?

Not overly busy at work today, so:

South Mornington at home - 4-4, 94.6%, conceding 88.8 ppg
South Mornington away - 2-6, 51.1%, conceding 148.5 ppg

Syndal away - 0-8, 52.9%, conceding 102.5 ppg
North Brunswick away - 1-8, 47.8%, conceding 117.2 ppg

It is quiet strange that a side who has won 6 games has had the double ton kicked against them 3 times.
I am shocked that Syndal hasn't won a game yet, I found them to be very competitive in both games we have played this year. Levi Phipps is a GUN and George and Richardson are also very good players. If they are able to keep Cookson, Truslove and Laurence quiet they maybe half a chance to get the points.

NB has the Ackland's, Peasnell and Saliba brothers playing. Believe there was one ressies game where all 3 combinations played.

Think the Trinchi boys are brothers - both good players for Bulleen.

Axe and Tomahawk would be the best nickname combination wouldn't you say Tunnels?!!!

BHN in an upset over WB (Resting players still?)
RC at home in an upset over Kew (Unless Kew bring a few back from rest period)
STH to get their first points for the season, 2 points only
MTL x 5g over NB (Chains required, 6 inches of snow)
SFX x 10g over EP (Fog lights and jumpleads are a must)
AP x a record over SM (Oval 201 Beaurepaire Pavilion, Map 200k GG10)

2's
WB x 1g
RC x 1g
STH x 1g
NB x 1g
SFX x 1g
AP x 100g
