Two's did get beaten by around 100 points however we had 17 players and lost 3 very early in the match. Hard going for the boys on a big ground against a full team that had 8 on the bench.

Unfortunately just had a lot of guys unavailable for this game.

BHN seniors put in a very good effort also being slightly undermanned against a 26 strong D2 team. Well done to the 5-6 two's players who doubled up and played around 8 quarters.
so is ruck machine calling himself box hill north these days? it sounds like he had a good hit out but for the team not so? down on numbers and more injuries out of the game doesnt sound to good for you guys considering the draw you have got?

Up front, I think you misinterpreted my comments. I meant that BHN were fantastic in the first half not that the Machine was. BHN were hard at it and didn't give Yarra any free space with the ball. With a full side they will definitely worry sides this year especially playing that type of game on their small oval. To be only 7 points down against a d2 with 13 senior players and extras would give the coaching staff plenty to smile about.

Just hope they have more players up their sleeve.

was AP at full strength becauase that is a great win! I also think that if AP doesnt win the flag this year they never will because they have had pretty much the same team for the last couple of years now! just a thought! For what its worth i think they will win it! good luck

Na AP had at least 5 out and prob some of the top players out. Also CHF had to leave at half time and lost the back up ruckman early. Powerhouse had 5 out as well so that cancels itsself out. Was a good hitout

Yes going to be great to play under lights bigwaz cant wait.

Yeah cant wait for the real stuff to start. Bring it on under lights on an awesome oval.

While Albert Park were very impressive and will do well in D4 this year, Power House would not be too distraught. 5 players were mentioned as being out - the actual number was between 10 to 12 walk up senior players (and yes I could name them - those around in 2006 would recognise many of them), most of whom were unavailable. The House tried a large number of recruits and the gelling factor was not quite there.

Yes, the House beat the Centrals in another practice match but also had a better team in that day. Not taking away from AP's performance as it was good, but AP should not necessarily expect to be worldbeaters based on that match.

oh well it was just a praccy match - last year tho AP went down to the Power by just 7pts i think.

- i guess the real measure will come in 2010 - when AP and POwerHouse actually play for 4point biscuits in D3.

good to see you get a few kicks yesterday for my dreamteam Mr Kerr!

BHN were ok against Yarra, ran out of numbers on the day but still plenty of work to do.

Well sorry mate if those numbers were wrong however those number were directly quoted from powerhouses coach so i dunno. But yes its just a praccy match. And in the end you could also say A/P had a lot more out as a lot only played a half. Bring on the real stuff i say

seniors was a good hit out.. reasonably hard/tough game for a praccy with a good feel to it.. look forward to playing ML in the real stuff...

It was a good match of footy, both teams hard at the footy all day, always good to get a win-praccy or not-good for the confidence two weeks out from the real stuff. Mt.L got by roughly 9 goals.
E.Park have a pretty dangerous forward set up, teams will have some trouble containing it this season. I think there 2's might struggle a bit.

I missed the game on Saturday however my 'game spy' advised me that you have not lost any of your temper over the pre-season. After a request from the man in white I understand you had to take 15 minute's of reflection time on the pine . :D

Ladder Prediction '09

1--A.Park
2--Mt.Lilly
3--Kew
4--Rich.C
5--Sth.Mo 6--ManHam
7--LaTtobe 8--Swinbo
9--B.H.N
10-Chady
11-E.Park
12-Nth.B

Always tough with limited information, so I'm pretty open with it.......:thumbsu:

My 'friend' YellowBlue.....Simply must have been a case of mistaken identity. But thats O.K, theese things happen, even to umpires!!

la trobe went down by a couple of points to west brunswick in the seniors on the weekend. They looked good in patches, but looks promising for this year.

Reserves got up by 4 or 5 goals in the first 3 quarters, 90% under 19 players for la trobe, then in second 3 quarters played there reserves side also looked well i think ending up about even.

Things are looking good down there, training numbers have been up around the 70 mark for seniors, reserves and unders

Ladder Prediction '09

1--A.Park - After demoralising Powerhouse, will go in as favs for the flag
2--Mt.Lilly - A close second, it seems the recruiting from the local school is going to plan. They lacked depth in the previous few years.
3--Kew - Sounds around that they may have gone off the boil from last year? They have plenty of big bodies there though, so will be a force.
4--Swinbo - Not much to go by here, except for rumours of massive numbers at training. Surely will push the final five.
5--LaTtobe - A good result against WBruns will give them high hopes for 09, but are WB as good as they were last year?
6--E.Park - Late start to pre-season training (I think) might see them struggle in the early part of the year. Losing big to ML might shake them into action!
7--Sth.Mo - In their first two seasons always got off to a flying start, but dried up as the temperature cooled down. If they can get guys committed to travelling north every other week then they'll be strong.
8--ManHam - Have had a big influx of players. The Bulleen twos were horrible in recent years, but its clear there is a lot more depth in Manningham this season.

9--B.H.N - No news is good news? There is very little noise coming out of Elgar Park this season, a big change from prevous years, but is it intentional?

11-Nth.B - Everyones coming out of the woodwork to get into the new clubhouse! Good numbers and a strong committee will see NB win a few more games this year... but they have a very tough draw.

10-Chady - Lost B & F and long time head coach. Haven't heard anythig regarding numbers or practice matches.

North Brunswick had a good praccie on the weekend versus Heidelberg West at their ground. We won both the Seniors and ressies games - and both games were really good hit outs.
