Kew lost two weeks ago and Mt Lilydale lost last week, not what I would call great form.
MTL has won 4 of last five
Kew has won 5 of last 6 or something like that...
not bad form I'd suggest.
There is a big, tall full forward. Not terribly mobile though. You should shut him down ruck machine. They have a pretty tall ruckman as well that hangs around the centre square taking marks. Not overly mobile either.
If you can shut down Yaman you have a chance at winning.

Round 11 Tips
South Mornington vs North Brunswick -South to get back on the winners list and stay in touch with the top 5. Although NB have been playing ok in the last month. but South should win by 41pts
Manningham vs Albert Park - AP will win easy by 68pts.
La Trobe vs Chadstone - La Trobe to win easy but not by a massive amount, from what i hear a few boys have gone home for the uni holidays, perhaps why NB matched them to half time last week. La Trobe easily by 88pts.
Mt Lilydale vs Kew - Easlily Match of The Round. Mt Lilydale will be keen to knock off Kew here and at home and in form they are a good chance, but having seen Kew first hand last week they will be too big and strong with Horne in some brilliant goalkicking form. Kew by 22pts.
Swinburne Uni vs Box Hill North - Swinburne play there small ground well and Yaman will probably kick 10 again, So Swinburne will win here by 52pts
Eley Park vs Richmond - Should be a good game early here but i reckon Eley wont match it here with the quick richmond midfield, Richmond havem to win these games if they want to play finals footy this season, Richmond by 34pts.

True my fellow mt.lillian....2 people from kew hung around after the game....very dissapointing, very soft effort!!! lose or not the mountain boys always have a brew after the match, thats how D4 sides stay afloat!!
very impressive scoreline for mtl over kew. richmond just did enough, good fight by the ep boys.
Too true - the attitude displayed by our opponents this weekend was the WORST i have ever experienced by an opposition club!
Poor sportsmanship was taken to a new depth. Thanks to the few who ignored the presidents order not to attend.
I know functions are an excuse not to stay for more than 20-30 mins, but for a D4 president to tell his club not to stay back is extreamly disappointing!
All I will say is i hope you finish 3rd and go to D3 in the worst possible way. I know we won't be there to play you, and i am not sour over a good win by that club - but seriously good riddens!

First time for a while... not sure how long.... IF we can somehow find a way to beat AP's twos this weekend we'll be just 4 points out of the top five in the twos.

Gee Plugger, I hope it was just a missunderstanding, or you heard the wrong thing said, because for a president to mutter such words is an absolute discrace. Maybe the plague that scared of all the Kew players from Mt.Lilydale was fast approaching your way.

Have to agree with you on that one sneako. A pathetic effort by kew on and off the field.
Who would know? I have heard that, and i have heard a different version of events. So how am i to know. Certainly the player allegedly infringed against wasn't too fussed when he spoke to our team manager.
Either way, at most that is between 2 or 3 individuals. So why would the whole club need to be chucked in with the same behaviour? And, if the worst of this story is true - he only tried to headbutt a person who was a foot taller than him? so i doubt too much damage could have been done!
The sadest part was, and I quote the president, whilst his club was 9 goals up against a struggling club - "you guys need to feel some pain". That is just not what i thought D4 footy was about.
Normally i wouldn't talk about this sort of thing, but i think this episode is really poor.
I don't condone at all violence on or off the field, and the cobras will respond to this appropriatly, at least try to get to the bottom of what happened. The attitude just sucks and is not what footy is about at all.

There are always two sides to a story and there is no need for it to be played out on a public forum. IF there is something to be discussed then i would suggest it will be done through the committees of both clubs. It can be sorted and then both clubs can move on with the rest of the season. The last thing we would want is for members of both clubs to start slugging it out over the forum and making both clubs look bad!
There is some great footy being played throughout the whole of D4. La Trobe looked the goods when I saw them, Albert Park playing some consistant footy, Richmond there abouts. Then you have the teams sitting 3rd to 7th fighting it out. Swinny and Ealy Park have a bit of ground to make up with percentage.
Bar La Trobe in the twos the rest of the comp seems pretty even.
The next month looks interesting in both seniors and magoos and will make for interesting watching.
Bit of an average week though. AP @ Richmond is a huge game, and Kew v EP is interesting because EP won the first match up and are in a must win situation. Go Snakes! Predicting another close game with the park rangers.
