Interesting move by the Kew player awarded the beers for BOG in the seniors...... wanting to take the mic over and sing a song.... Never seen that before.

two massively windy days the past two weeks have made the games messy and tighter with South scrapping wins against BHN and Eley:thumbsu:

Very good to see that the top 5 isnt decided as it was by round 10 last season.
Big game this week Rich v Swinny, after that South play Swinny and Rich so all should be cleary after the next 3 games..

Also just wondering if eley park had a function sat night, only 4 people entered our rooms afterwards (2 non-players)
* Good effort by the one bloke (josh i think his name was) who took on both skulls coming out with both wins. ripper effort.

And does anybody know how many Yaman kicked, i believe he only needed 12 for the ton, would he be the first metro player to do so this year, as Aaron James was the first in the country on the weekend??

yaman needs 6 more should do it this week had the yips on the weekend he kicked 7 goals and about 8 behinds had alot of shots on goal so had a chance to kick the ton should do it this weekend against richmond and interesting fact i think he may be one of the first to kick 100 in metro.

Someone from Swinny may want to log the results from Round 12 vs Chadstone as the VAFA website has no record of Yaman's 13 goal haul.

I certainly hope not! Though in the confines of St James Park, anything is possible.

Bit quite on here lately.

Are Albert Park now favorites in the seniors to take the granny? The AP and LTU sides are definitely a cut above the rest.

Are Latrobe still favorites in the magoos? I sure think so!!!

Can anyone from 3-7 place come close this year in the ones or can any side knock off Latrobe in the 2's.

Please Comment:

North Brunny could knock off La Trobe in the 2's - possibly.
La Trobe beat North Brunny's two's last time - but LTU were trailing at half time and had - Staunton, Conheady and McLean (all good very one's players) in the 2's that day.
I'd expect it to be closer next time - LTU would be hot favourites to take out the 2's premiership - but I'd give our guys a chance.

Strange that AP's 2's beat Latrobe on the weekend. RC beat AP, and AP beat Kew, and Kew beat RC... so go figure..... Every week the reserves are different. However... you have to think that Latrobe has more depth... probably had a ski trip or something last weekend. There's a bit of that going around at the moment :)

And yes I thnk there is a drop from 1-2 down to 3-7... But not much between 3-7 really.

They can be knocked off for sure. AP just got it together on the weekend and with plenty of quality players to come back into the ones side it will only mean some will drop back, i think they should be worried. I think a few teams could worry them now to be honest. But hey finals are a different ball game so it will be interesting.

Can't really see anyone coming close to AP and LTU so should make it interesting come finals time given they have won a game each. Anyone's guess on who will be the third team to be promoted to D3 as it's pretty open.

I would think the 2's are a little more open with LTU and AP as well as NB and Kew. NB should have a good list to choose from and given Kew won the Premiership last year (and how they are currently travelling) I would think there would still be a few of those guys still kicking round in the magoo's.

Love this part of the season :thumbsu:

Kew v Chad----Kew 15+ goals.
E.P v Lt.U----Lt.U to run away in the last by 6 goals.

2's:

Round 14 Tips

Box Hill North vs North Brunswick - BHN by 1 point
Manningham vs Mt Lilydale - MtL by 9 goals
Albert Park vs South Mornington -AP by 10 goals
Swinburne Uni vs Richmond Central - RC by 2 points
Kew vs Chadstone - Kew by 15 goals
Eley Park vs La Trobe Uni - LTU by 11 goals

Fuseball's Round 14 Tips -

BHN v NB - NB just for mine. Well matched teams and should be a close game . NB by 2 points

MANN v MTL - Mountainmen by alot. MTL looks like they are gelling well at the right time of the year and should win by 12 goals. Sneako BOG.

AP v SthM - Too strong at home. As predicted will finish on top and should be fav's for the flag with any bookie atm.AP by 9 goals

SWIN v RC - Match of the Round. RC to lose its 3rd game, drop out of the 5 and make it very hard to get back in ! Swin by 24 points

Kew v Chaddy - Kew by 20 goals +. Kew up and down week to week. They should enjoy this week as a tougher Round 15 awaits.

EP v LTU - I expect EP to have a good hit out with the ladder leaders but to go down by about 6 goals only.

Ressies - NB,MTL,AP,RICH,KEW & LTU

Nth Brunswick to smash an injury ravaged undermanned BHN x 8g
MTL who always struggle against Manny, butMTL should still win by 5g
Albert Park to win by 10g+ at home against SM
RC have played well all season, even the games they have lost they have not been discraced. They will win by 5g because they deserve to play finals.:thumbsu:
Kew by more than 10g.......
Latrobe smashed Eley Park last time they met, will be closer this time at EP but Latrobe by 5g.

2's.....NB x 20g, MTL x 10g, AP x 10g, RC x 5g, Kew x 20g, LT x 1g

Be interesting to see whether Mt Lilydale (the flat track bullies) can get the monkey off the back and beat a side who is in the top 3 - 4 teams. Haven't done it for a long while if ever!!

Forget the last quote I wrote, now will be interesting to see whether they can beat a side in the bottom 3 - 4. Could be all over down Mt way, had a great chance to sew up a top 3 position now will have a fight on their hands just to stay in the race!!!

mnningham have shaken things up. suddenly mtl looking at three tough games in 4 weeks with latrobe rc and ap. may have to win two of those games to make it? though i think now 11 wins will make it in.

I got all tips correct except for the Mtlilydale game, if someone could confirm from this game, I heard that they had over 20 out because of a 21st b/day party bash that was held up bush:eek:
If this is true is this acceptable that players choose a 'party' over playing for their club:confused:
Big win by the RC boys...does this all but put Swinburne out of finals contention and we all knew that SM were pretenders only:thumbsu:
Good effort by the Sharks but in saying that just not good enough.

Swinburne play South Morn this Saturday @ Citation. The loser is officially eliminated from the finals.

Mt Lilydale and RC will be hoping for a swinburne victory (A swinburne win may effectively put RC and MTL in the 5.), as SM have the easier run home, and if they can beat RC next weekend would have a very good chance of winning out, and then definately making the top 5.

In that case, MTL @ RC in round 17 would be an elimination game (assuming MTL lose to Latrobe the week before, and RC beat Manningham this weekend)....

I think about this too much...

So Kew finish 3rd in the ones Big Waz?

This week when AP take on Kew at home will tell whether Kew can maybe win first qualifying final. Whether it be against LTU or AP. Kew will need to gain confidence with a win at home because if they can't win at home against the the two leaders then i can't see them winning the QF.

Having said that, anything is possible in finals. Just look at SFX last year. Finished third and came out and smashed Kew who performed better throughout the year.
